I'd love to pry John Stevens out of LA.
Maybe with Sutter getting re-signed in the neighbourhood of 4M, they let Stevens walk? Someone mentioned he's paid extremely well for an assistant.

Travis Green was my second pick after Boudreau, I will stick with Green. I really, really, really don't want any of Carlye, Bowness, Yeo. Please anybody but them

With all those names I'd include Dave King as well.
I voted for Green. I think it will be a young coach who can relate to our young players.

On the Fan, Kerr mentioned that he is hearing the list is very extensive. Sounds like they are allowing anybody that is interested to put themselves on the list.

It doesn't really sound like they have a specific person and Treliving is doing a very thorough process. That is probably why they didn't show much interest in Boudreau as there probably was a bidding war starting hours after he was fired.

I honestly hadn't thought of Sutter until the rumour that he wouldn't re-sign came up. It was nice to think of him returning, but it's okay that he won't.

I know that Darren Haynes was high on Gulutzan and Muller. I'm fine with either of them.

Not that interested in Yeo, to be honest, after reading that Wild blog post about him. Sounds like more of what we've seen already (bad possession, terrible special teams etc).

He is still coaching? He is 68 years old, unless we are not talking about the same Dave King.

Please no to Yeo, Maclean or Carlyle. I have no desire for out team to aspire to play/be like any of their ex teams.

If Gretzky and Ward make the list than Dave King should be ahead of them. Last I heard he was in Russia but it seems he's no longer there so maybe he's retired. He has a history with Phoenix so Treliving is familiar with him.

What scares me is that Anaheim seems to be out in front of all the good names.
I hope there's a sense of urgency by BT to get the right candidate.

Out of that list, I'd like any of:

Kevin Dineen
John Stevens
Travis Green
Sheldon Keefe

Huska for me, with Green second. Need some new blood behind the bench for this young squad.

I'm also curious to know what makes Kevin Dineen their pick for HC for CPers? His record isn't the greatest.

I voted Mike Yeo... Not that I want him but the question is who will be the next coach. If it was my choice I'd go off the board. I don't want a reclamation project as a coach.

Is there a job posting on the Flames webpage? I was assistant coach on my kid's Timbits team this previous season. I'm looking for work right now.

How did you not vote for Phil Housley?
