Because PBP are there to assist with the highs and lows in the emotion of the play.
Romanuk is garbage at it, and as a result, he shouldn't be doing playoff games.
I'm aware I can just watch the game, I enjoy good PBP. It adds to the experience for me.

Exactly. There was a good reason why when he worked for TSN the best gig he could get was doing the Spengler Cup. Terrible PBP guy.

Agreed, it's what makes Jim Hughson and Bob Cole such a treat to listen to in the playoffs despite whatever complaints people made occasionally against them.

Mike Johnson also grates my nerves as a color guy. Him and Romanuk can call Canada vs Hungary World Championship games at 3 AM for my taste.
Hopefully the Stars can figure out one more win in this one.

Great PBP makes an ok game seem great, and makes an exciting game unforgettable.

I haven't been following (and without digging back pages in this thread) is there a solid chance Seguin is back Wednesday?
Really bad luck for the Flames Dallas has been without him in this run. Hopefully he can come back with some juice.

From what I've heard there it sure doesn't sound like there's much chance. The fact he didn't travel for a do-or-die away game leads me to believe it's a lot more serious than the "day-to-day" he's listed as. And if they lose, it makes the decision to rush him back for game 2 of Minny look really bad.

I agree. While great commentary improves a game, bad commentary can make it worse.
On-ice audio only would be fantastic.
