Ya I was freaking out at first, especially with one of the O'Doyle brothers there, but luckily Billy Madison was able to help me out.

This is one of my favorite theater movies in the past decade, mostly because it's an awesome movie, but also partly because I got to see it in IMAX sans-3D. So glad Chinook offered that showing, 3D is a fad that needs to die. Getting to watch everything without some stupid glasses on my head that causes my focus to shift around was very enjoyable
Totally agreed. The worst is the current 3D glasses (or they were always like that and my memory is going) have this dark tint to them. It almost feels like wearing sunglasses in the theatre, I don't get it.
Especially with "eye candy" type movies like this, with great action scenes and vivid colours, then you have to put on dark shades that dim everything and takes away from the visuals. Hate 3D movies cuz of that.
Weird, I've never had a problem with 3D glasses, I always just forget they are there. Maybe it is because I don't have contacts? My friends who wear contacts have complained about them.

I've got tremendously worse vision in one eye vs the other so 3D movies never really work for me (same with the pop-art picture things). I can watch the movie fine, it's just not really 3D for me since my brain pretty much ignores the one bad eye)
I try to avoid 3D because of that but I'll take having to put up with 3D if it means reserved seating any day of the week.
The airport battle bugged me a bit. The whole reason for the accord was due to death and destruction caused by supers, yet they go have this public battle with no regard for public safety, destroying a plane and a tower, was the airport abandoned? cause that scene should have resulted in some innocent lives lost.
Great battle, but the setting seemed inappropriate given the plot.

Team Cap were tipped off when the announcement went off to evacuate the airport.

Before that battle started one of Cap's crew mentioned the airport was being cleared. That's how they knew Tony was there or whatever.
Edit: yeah what ^that guy said

When the giant man thing happened, I immediately became worried for about half a second that there was going to be a nod to the comic story in the form of some version of
Spoiler!
... just to give the whole thing some further stakes / weight / consequence. Like "yeah this is all fun and jokes... but then this happens". They managed to do that to a much lesser extent with Rhodey's fall, but you knew he wasn't going to die.

Ya and to be fair that wasn't really Thor, it was that clone robot thing or whatever Stark made. Thor was dead in the comics at that point. The real Thor would have never done that.
The movie could have had a bit more bite, that is for sure.. it did seem a little to safe, I never expected anyone to die so if they DID kill someone off it would have had massive weight.

But no, I was thinking that maybe Vision or someone would do it, but then immediately realized there was sure to be another Ant-man movie in the works.

I was hoping Rhodey would die. Not because I don't like him, but it definitely would have had more of an impact if someone actually died during the conflict, and its not like War Machine can't just be replaced.

I wish they would have killed off that dickhead Bucky at the end.
