Yup...same narrative heard around these parts for the entire tenure of Kiprusoff.

Clearly Nashville won. And yes, Anaheim lost 3 of 4 at home. Theres a lot of bounces in hockey and they didn't go in favour of Anaheim this series. Its possible to outplay another team and still lose.
Thats what i meant.

He's the king dirtbag IMO. I still remember him picking up a puck and putting it in our net, then playing the fool. He's an arrogant jerk, and a constant whiner. Good riddance.

Anaheim has blown a 3-2 series lead, and lost Game 7 at home, in EACH of the last 4 postseasons.

Yeah and if the ducks didn't have kesler, they'd have scored four fewer goals. People always trot this out and it's complete nonsense.
Additionally, Rinne had a .908 sv% in this series. Average goaltending would have been an improvement on what they got from Rinne.

The Rinne stole the series narrative makes no sense considering Andersen actually had the better numbers over the series.
As mentioned in a previous post Rinne had a .915 save percentage - the Preds got average goaltending and still won the series.

I get it, but in a seven-game series, the team that plays better usually wins, and I think it is unfair to say that Nashville won on bounces. Seems cheap and frankly it's pointless. I think losing the first two at home because they were not ready to play at a high enough level cost the Ducks the series.
At least that's how it looked to me.

I feel so bad for Kesler, Bieksa, and Perry…couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys!
For real though the #brokenclockNHLyear continues.
Caps, Sharks, Blues, Isles to win in round 2, book it.

Close series regardless, and could've went either way. Wont argue with a fellow Flames fan from Kamloops

Weird series in that the Ducks started flat in the first two games and in the next three looked like a team that was at another level and then kind of reverted back to flat in the last two. I wonder if they decide to go in a different direction at head coach. Murray kept with him when they struggled in the first half the the season and was rewarded for his patience but another 1st round elimination may not sit well with ownership.
Glad to see the Ducks eliminated even if a Sharks/Ducks series would be likely more entertaining.

Words cannot express how happy I am to see the Ducks eliminated. Can't stand that freakin team, and their cursed abomination of a rink should be burned to the ground.

The ducks have lost more home game 7s in the past 4 years than the Habs in their entire history

Pluck those Ducks! Pesky and annoying... I think their coach gets fired sooner rather than later.
I can barely watch him as he looks like he is about to drop dead any moment.

I'm pretty sure they've lost more home ice game 7s in the last four seasons than Montreal has in their entire history.

Man that was close! Preds couldn't win a face off to save their lives in the final minutes. Bring on the salty Kessler tears!
