It's a great framing job and setup, but yes the choice of subject matter is really strange for a Flames fan.

OP, are you really a Sharks fan relieving your victory over the Flames?

Lol, I knew it would get people to click. And, no that doesnt really help all that much.
My confession: The Flames from the young guns era were my heroes back then. And at the top of the pile was Trevor Kidd. I had all his hockey cards, his jersey, various autographs and 2 posters of him. I even had Flames' sweat pants that I wore to school all time with his name on them.

I know these days we look back and see we could have drafted Brodeur instead. But back then, 90s me didn't care about the draft or contracts or anything like that. All I knew was Trevor Kidd was my hero. Even when I played hockey as a kid as a goalie, I'd always pretend to be him.

I hope you get that jersey autographed. Sometimes we just latch onto players and like them for some odd reason.

And besides, Scorpion's the last person who should be asking why when he clearly has some weird love affair with David Jones

When we played road hockey, when a goalie let in a bad goal we called him Trevor and then gave him a solid boot to the sack. Well part of that wasn't true, we didn't always call him Trevor.

But why would you buy a Trevor Kidd jersey?
Trevor Kidd was a touted prospect and a high pick. So, he can easily be someones favorite prospect etc as he developed.

Not too hard to imagine.

Trevor Kidd = goalie + first round pick + memorial cup champ + world juniors gold medal + cool name + cool nickname + cool pads + cool mask.

And then he sucked.

Clearly the goalie coach is to blame.

Ha it took me a minute but once I figured out it was to be sung to Lisa Loeb it made me chuckle.
