Alzner should be suspended for a slash at the end if the game. Of course nothing with come of it.

Jim Hughson is a bit of a turd.

I don't like when he refers to players by nicknames, or even worse, by names nobody else uses. Also "Sea of Red" for Washington? Give me a break.

Washington is a hard hitting team. Philly isn't a very physical team, but they channel and feel the pressure of the broad street bullies in the playoffs (or while playing Pitt). Will make for a good series.

Couturier has an A/C sprain to left shoulder. Done for series

Yea, did anyone actually think the team that barely got a wildcard spot were going to be legit contenders?

Couturier injury hurts a lot. I'm guessing RJ Umberger draws back in.

In the East I consider WASH and PITT to be legit contenders and the rest pretenders. Would hardly say PHI was overmatched in this game. I still believe.

He also over does it when he says, "Great save by Holtby or Mason."

No kidding. I don't see the Flyers play a whole lot but I don't remember him throwing the body around like that. I was quite impressed with his play despite being on the losing end.

I would take Schenn, Simmonds, or Wilson as players to help fill our RW hole any day of the week.

All good physical players.

I don't think the Caps dominated, but I think they controlled game 1 from start to finish. Mason played excellent, otherwise the score could have been run up.
