Good luck with it, Jeeps like that are a hard one because they should be all go and no show, but its usually the other way around the way that Chrysler/FCA options them out, and its hard to be a mix of both even with upgrading, cruising down 17th and tearing up the the turf in Waiprous.

Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Wrenching on a project like this would be a great way to spend some hours. Working on a car that isn't a daily driver is more relaxing than keeping some heap on the road to get to work in.
Used to have a built up K5 Blazer that my BIL built. It was a ball but unreliable, give how half assed the work on it was. I've always thought now that I'm a bit older and hopefully smarter it would be fun to do a competent build on something like this.

I drive a 2012 Wrangler and need a new front driver side fender. If you happen to have a good lead on getting a silver one I'd be interested.

So like any good build, start from the ground up. Had a bit of an issue with doing a 4" lift, so we backed it off to 2.5" using a better kit. We used the Rubicon Express kit with monotube shocks and new springs. Put on Pacer 164 17" wheels, and 33" Sigma Mud Claw tires. Wasn't super keen on the tires, as I like to stick to the big brand names, but being a budget build, I couldn't say no to the price our parts manager at the VW dealer I work for lined up. Reviews seem to be above average, and at $1800 for wheels and tires x 5. I feel like the rims were free. Everything I was looking at names Good Year and Bridgestone was $1800+ for tires alone at dealer cost.
Anyway, this is where we are at. I might add another 1" of lift via a coil spacer, but haven't decided yet.
This afternoon I'm going to pick up a half ton full of bumpers, fenders, side steps and a winch and will be plugging away at the stuff I can handle. I have the next 5 days off and want to get the heavy lifting done.

Oh, and for those curious, this is the beast lurking in the background... Apparently this is a 100k + build. Hemi V8 and all.....
The tires on that thing exceed my entire budget lol.

What size are those tires? They make the rims look tiny. Must be like 48 inches or something.

Maybe you meant $1800 total for 5 wheels and tires?

Also, huge props for calling them wheels and not 'rims'
That's how you can separate a real car guy from the rest of the pack.

I actually busted his balls about the snorkel. You'd could drive that thing across Lake Superior and no submerge the windshield.

Still having trouble believing this vehicle was once owned by CC. Where's the airbrushed imperial symbol?

Well, tonight I think I created about 10 new swear words. The doors on the Jeep were pretty seized up. So after an hour per side of penetrating oil on the hinges and then 20 'Waves' of the door..... Rinse/repeat, I finally got them free. Yay? Not so fast. Good luck extracting the bushings from the female side of the hinge. Anyway after 3 hours, I went from this:
To this:
There was tons of salt and oxidation under the old factory hinges and the looked almost 'swollen'. Chiseled off the salt, used a mini disk on a dremel and cleaned them down to bare metal. A quick coat of bedliner in a can to seal it up, and tomorrow or Monday, these stainless steel powder coated fancy shmancies go on.
Pulled the rear bumper off, and had to deal with a little rust issue. The truck is clean everywhere, except for this one spot, where it looks like a crappy body repair was done. Got out the cone wheel, and a couple grinding disks, took it down to fresh metal, and just bondo'd it up. Just gonna rattle can it tomorrow to a 25 foot standard. Just need to seal it up, since I'm putting a set of steel corner guards on that will cover it anyway.
Bask in my horrid bodywork.
For the hour I spent on it, it'll do, since these are gonna cover it anyway:
Top quality pieces. Powder coated heavy guage stainless.
And this is my poor Jeep with its face torn off. I'm going to spray line the grill black, plus it will make the winch wiring a cinch.

Things getting serious..... No turning back now. And Chrysler Corp, you can go EAD, preferably a big bag of them, for your insanely stupid wiring harness clips. Need a the frikking jaws of life to pry some of them out.

No. They live in Cranston now. Sold their place in LB. Something about a crazy drunk on a lil rascal forced em out.
But they are away, so I've commandeered their garage in Cranston for the next week.
