Come on, with this teams luck it wouldn't matter if they finished dead last, they still wouldn't win the lottery.
I'll hope for a lottery win, but not for the losses to marginally improve the chances. Whatever happens, happens

Anyone with 1000 bucks? Very strong possibility I could turn it into a million tomorrow.

I am in the camp that wants a better draft position. Two years from now I won't remember beating the Minnesota Wild in the last game of this season for two useless points but the draft pick will definitely be seared in my memory.

The Flames have three potential franchise players up front, Gaudreau, Monahan and Bennett. There are still good, very good strong prospects in that 5th-9th spots.
Yeah it potentially sucks but what can ya do? Who are you mad at?
The idea that teams in 7th 8th AND 9th all pass us is ludicrous. I suppose we should have gotten a couple more points to improve our standings if that's the cast.

Yes, and having a "winning culture" for 4 games also won't benefit the players at all.
Not as much as a top 3 pick would.
But I mainly blame Minnesota, Vancouver and Edmonton.

How about you GTF out? Backstrom is not a Flame next year. Him winning a game has no bearing on how well the Flames do next year, unlike a better chance at drafting a better player.

I don't get some fans. 1.7% chance the Flames drop to 9th now. If that happens the Leafs, Oilers, and Canucks also drop to 4th,5th, and 6th. I would actually lmao if that happens.

Yeah that would be a great culture lesson for the three call ups, hey guys glad you're here, lets mail it in tonight so we get a better draft pick!
I'd rather hope for the hockey gods to bless us with a top 3 pick then cheer for a loss.

I am very thankful the Flames have pride. I know the young players that got the opportunity to come up and play in the NHL have gained positive ideals.
Thank you Bob Hartley

The Hockey Gods never reward the Flames. The last time they won a Stanley Cup I was five months old. I grew up with half my peers being ****ing Avs bandwagoners because the Hockey Gods didn't do **** for the Flames in my lifetime.
There is No Hockey God.

The hockey gods have rewarded them? With constant draft lottery wins?
It's not the gods fault their management is incompetent.

Not to mention how big Seiloff's first NHL goal is for him, and the game winner to boot
