The #Flames have used one of their two remaining regular recalls on Derek Grant. Also recall Poirer, Shinkaruk, Kulak on emergency basis.

How can we have 3 emergency recalls? I haven't heard about any injuries.
Guess the slim hope of Stockton making the playoffs is gone.

Been reported for the last week a lot of forwards are battling injuries.
|

My guess is Monahan sits. I think he's been battling something even during his recent stretch. Just a hunch though. Wouldn't be surprised to see him sit half the games remaining, although in a contract year, I'm sure he'd want to play them all.

Good for Grant - he deserves it more than any other Heat player this season, IMO.
As for the others - looking forward to seeing Poirier and Shinkaruk play, but who the hell is not playing?

I really liked Derek Grant's game when he was called up at the beginning of the year. He was excellent on faceoffs and was not shy on taking the body. I'd really like to see him replace Stajan full time next year. Hopefully they can sign him.
