No matter what the possession numbers say, that's dog#### awful.

Also, Sabres destroyed Flames in "advanced" stats for that period so you're unintentionally agreeing with "advanced" stats.

Yep Ferland dropped the ball there. Needed to see some reaction. People need to be talked to when someone head shots our young players. This is why we have players like Engelland and Bollig, because no one else steps up to provide team toughness regularly. I'm sure Bollig will be having some chats with Pysyk the rest of the game.

When the arm goes up right away, there is no point in mixing it up or providing a "reaction". The player got penalized. No need of equalizing the penalties.

Didn't think they played that bad. Couple weak calls against and a few missed calls for. They had a lot of pressure, some good forecheck, good puck pursuit. Hiller never gave up a soft one... That's better then a lot of periods this season.

I'm convinced that Ferland is told not to fight. The kid has always stepped up - even against big heavyweight goons in the WHL. Early on in his first few stints/prospect tournaments, he seemed like he always wanted to fight. I think the concussion thing has either made him second guess fighting, or he has been told not to. Just my own theory anyways.

I completely disagree. Stick up for your teammates, especially on a dirty headshot like that. This is the battle of the basement dwellers. Worst case scenario you go 4 on 4 for the next couple of minutes, which quite frankly is probably a better option given how pathetic the Flames PP is.

Hahaha that shot wasn't even that late. That happens all of the time with no call. Pathetic.

Only the Flames get that penalty called against them

I'm actually not losing interest in hockey because the Flames are bad this season, the officiating is absolute trash.

Lehner is 7 feet tall, weighs 388 lbs and is infinitely more mobile than Hiller.

The Flames couldn't have all of a sudden become the most undisciplined team in the NHL could they have? The timing was literally right in line with the Wideman incident. Something smells amiss.
