Hartley looking to retire or what? Loser in net, lines in a blender and no shots on goal halfway through a period.

Why not jumble the lines? See what Gaudreau and Monahan are like when separated.

LOL. Only an advanced stat person would say something like that when the Flames have zero shots on goal through nearly 15 minutes.
No matter what the possession numbers say, that's dog#### awful.

Other than throwing some hits, and playing well defensively to limit passing lanes for the Sabres, the aren't really doing anything at the minute.

What's the over under for shots this period. I'll go ahead and set the bar high at 2 shots for the flames.

Think Hathaways play has been a bit of an eye opener for Ferland? Seems to be showing a little more effort out there.

Hiller in net, zero shots on goal ... Flames going all-in against more experienced tankers.

I don't have a clue what the advanced stats say, I didn't even check. But the Flames have controlled the neutral zone, they're winning every race, and they're defending efficiently.

Good times. 6 shot on goal this period. Flames own none of them. Yikes.

seems like whenever gaudreus lines on the other team has possession before they come on so they end up chasing the whole shift and not generating anything.

Yeah could be. It's better to have a few guys like that. Bouma, Hathaway and Ferland can all potentially get each going by leading the hit parade.

Dangerous to give this Eichel kid too many power play chances.

What is with the penalties since the all star break? It seems like the Flames are the most penalized team since the break.
