Same teams that are interested in Hamhuis are to some degree interested in Russell
Bruins definitely interested
LA and Stars with some interest
Flames are in no rush to move Russell and may go up to the deadline before he is dealt
Some teams are concerned with the lingering groin issue, but Flames say that is not a problem
Flames are going to hold on to their cards tight and see if they can squeeze out a better offer

Where is this Nichushkin stuff coming from?
Why would Dallas trade away a promising young player like that for a rental.
It would be like us trading Bennett for a rental.

#Stars Val Nichushkin reportedly on trading block. Would be hard for some GMs to straight up say nyet on acquiring him.

It seems very unlikely, but pipe dreams happen all the time.
If someone had posted on here at this time last year (maybe someone did?) that they were hoping the Flames could land Hamilton, someone would have piped up immediately (like you are here) and told them they dreaming and to get off the pipe. "Dougie is being groomed to take over for Chara" etc.
You never know what is going on behind the scenes between the player and the team or anything else.

Yeah talk of Nichushkin seems like fantasizing unless we're adding a significant piece.
Russell for a 1st or Russell for a 2nd + prospect seem more realistic if we're daydreaming about what he might return. Maybe that's even being optimistic. Guesse we'll see.
