That 3rd period sucked. Jooris needs to score there, 5-2 and we walk away from this one laughing.

Yeah draft picks ... blah blah, god I hate losing.

For less? Ortio has started a handful of games and has performed well other than a few periods. Hiller has consistently been brutal all season long. He has the worst save % and GAA average in the league for goalies that have started whatever number of games it is.

He can't stop a beach ball. At least Ortio battles and attempts to track the puck through screens. Hiller spends half the game on his knees just praying the puck hits him. I can't wait for that guy to be gone and I'll be shocked if he ever sees another NHL contract again.

Feel bad for Ortio actually - he is still looking for his first win this stint.

However losing three games in a row going into trade deadline is a good reminder to Burke, Treliving et al that we still have a ways to go to be contender status. They will be willing to look at many options in the next two days.

Brodie with 3 assists for 39 pts in 52 games overtaking Gio and now in the top 10 in the league.

Frustrating team. Completely lack team defense and any sort of push back Flames are soft and in particular soft on defense

My bad, my browser wasn't fully scaled out so I didn't notice the size. I changed it.

I enjoyed it to be quite honest. Some nice goals by the Flames and progress towards a better draft pick. That's about as good as it gets on the ice. Some more prospects/ picks on the way would fill in the picture off the ice for now. Just relax and hope for good play by their young stars while not picking up points that are of no use.

I like Giordano. He's a good skating, solid offensive defenseman but he really needs to work on his defensive game this offseason. He's been pretty bad a lot this season in his own end.

Aside from goaltending issues, is our D really that bad (players) or is there perhaps a coaching issue here? I just don't understand...

He's been one of our lone bright spots.

.800 save percentage and they hit 3 or 4 posts

Ortio had a few good saves but certainly wasn't good

Does Jooris get tendered an offer?

I'm not sure he's long for the NHL.

I'm not a Colborne hater but I'm frustrated with him. He just doesnt hustle enough, doesn't use his size to his advantage enough. If a playoff team comes calling and is willing to meet their price on him, adios.

Jones? If a playoff team comes calling and is willing to meet their price on him, adios.

Guess we'll get to see some call ups in the next game and maybe more the game after.

Not sure on Ortio yet. One thing I still don't like is he makes himself look a lot smaller than he is by crouching. But he's certainly miles ahead of Hiller. Great reflexes, good positioning. He looks better than Ramo and Hiller at protecting the bottom of the net. But crouching as he does he'll leave the top corner available most of the time. Be interesting to continue to watch him.
