Who would have thought when we got russell for a 6th that he would become such a valuable assett

What about a guy like Oscar Sundqvist from Pitt? Could be a god fit given his size and skill. Would love to grab a goalie though. Or another pick to help facilitate the acquisition of a goalie. Either way, trade Russell.

Boston has a lot of intriguing prospects. If they don't want to part with their 1st I'd happily take one of those plus a 2nd or 3rd. Come on Boston, you know you want to have Russell!

I have a feeling Treliving will be trying to get a goaltender back with Russell+.

Interesting pieces

BOS: Zboril(D), Debrusk(LW), Subban(G), Senyshen(RW)
PIT: Murray(G), Sprong(RW)

I wouldn't be opposed a trade where we toss in a 2nd with Russell and get back a top prospect.

Boston also had an excellent 2nd round last year with Carlo, Forsbacka-Karlsson and Lauzon. Pittsburgh also has another pretty good goalie prospect in Tristan Jarry. All interesting pieces IMO.

Maybe or maybe a winger prospect that is close to NHL ready.

Can the Pens even add Russell now with the trade for Schultz? Do they even want to add more? They have 1.6m in cap space still.

News Update

Dennis Bernstein @DennisTFP
Hearing #Flames ask on Kris Russell presently a high pick and prospect. Too rich for LA at present.

given that the Kings don't own a 1st this year, Treliving surely asks for a top prospect if he has to settle for a 2nd. Hopefully 2nd + A level prospect from the Kings and a 1st + B level prospect from everybody else.

If the Flames, I listen to a Russell+.

The hope is you're not going to be in the position as sellers very much, and even if you are (say next year) you won't probably have a player coveted as much as he is.

Ie what could Russell+ a 3rd fetch? Or a second? My guess is someone who would likely be on the roster right away, and as a regular for a few years (ie what you'd hope that 2nd rounder would turn into in 2-3 years from now).

It's going to be embarrassing for Feaster if Russell goes for more than Iginla.

So LA and Pittsburgh don't have a 1st rounder this year, meanwhile Boston has their own and San Jose's 1st.
