Oh well, it's not like we can make any trades since our GM is in New York.

Francis has said ALOT of stupid things tonight, but I do not think that this is one of them. Cel service notwithstanding, there is NO QUESTION that Treliving's required presence in NY is not ideal for the Flames this close to the TD.

Probably just a coincidence... but Flames look much more confident knowing they don't have a goalie who's going to let in a terrible goal ever game.

Especially because it was Bollig, on the backhand, with him.

In my opinion, this has been Monahan's best two way effort all season.

Plus it is unlikely he's going to have all the information assets with him he would normally have while in his office. The trade deadline isn't only the GM working, its having all the guys from Hockey Operations providing information and immediate feedback. Hard to work that over the phone, especially when you're sequestered in a hearing.

I agree it's not ideal, but Francis made it sound like he had to be in Calgary to make a trade.
I'm sure Treliving can multi task (I do agree though, it's not ideal).

It's not a coincidence. Being able to trust your goalie makes a huge difference.

Really enjoyed that montage of Tavares being thwarted over and over.
