Yeah Arizona is a stepping stone for players. That organization would have been relocated ages ago if not for Tippet's brilliance

He'd be one of very few players that would say so. Apparently it's a popular destination (no Cup potential aside).

Oilers have healthy scratched Purcell..

Some speculation Oilers are close to trading him.

Just get one of Nichuskin or Drouin and make me happy Brad.

Either is realistically a pipe dream though.

They're actually scouting Justin Schultz. Not because they want him on their respective teams, but because they wanted to come see the trainwreck disaster that is his defense play in person.

What is with the impression Hudler only gets a 3rd. Ridiculous both Shannon and Francis.

Hat? That was Francis. Unless of course you were referring to him as asshat?

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
EDM has not traded Purcell, not yet anyway. Asset protection at this point. Several teams with serious interest. Deal likely at some point.

Honestly if the return was only a third, I'd rather keep him and attempt to re-sign him.

When Weber from Buffalo, a 7th defenseman, gets that your evaluations on the potential return is way way way off.

I don't see how Purcell and Schultz net anything of value.

So far the Ladd, Polak/Spaling, Mathias trades prove to me the market is at typical prices. I don't see how Hudler doesn't get at least the same return Glencross got last year if not more.

They have to watch his offensive mannerisms in the press box.

Why would any serious contender want Purcell for a playoff run? One of the softest players in the league.

Purcell isn't completely terrible. Might be able to get a 3rd or slightly more. If Schultz gets more than a 7th or a marginal depth prospect I'd be shocked.

Take the 3rd and re-sign in the offseason?

If Hudler is apparently worth a 3rd. What is Purcell worth? A conditional 7th?

More proof fancy stats are suspect.

It will help if Purcell is traded tonight or early tomorrow. That way you can find the middle between Ladd and Purcell, and that's what you'll have for the value Hudler.
