The Flames were bad.
Corey Hirsch was worse.

3 PPGA and a softy? Not his best night but let's get real. You're not gonna win many games scoring one goal.

Only people who were fooled by 8 minutes against the evidence of two seasons.
I would guess most people here expect this.

That was a truly awful game from the Flames. We were supposed to be amazingly desperate to get back into the playoff race, but they put up a performance like that. Yeesh. Losing 3 times in a row to this Arizona team is a ball buster as well. Can't happen.
The last 3 games haven't been great for the Flames too. Almost blew it against the Leafs, blew it against the Sharks but were fortunate to come back and win in a shootout, and then this dismal game. Don't think the playoffs are going to happen this year. Look to the deadline and sell some guys off please.
Also, the refs were abysmal the last 2 games. What a joke.

Considering there is a clearcut bottom 4 of TOR, EDM, CBJ and BUF at the moment it could be tricky to get Mr. Laine.

I think I'd take Hirsch over the Coyote-knob-gobbling Tyson Nash. If I have to endure another Fs Arizona broadcast, think I'll just watch on mute

Hiller better enjoy the rest of the season as much as he can because with performances like that an NHL GM would have to be completely insane to give him a contract.

Yeah, this is going to be the rest of the season. We'll win some and lose some, stay out of the playoffs while the professional loser teams all nosedive for the bottom of the standings.
We have no chance at those top three unless we win the lottery (which we won't). Let it go folks, it'll just be more annoying when it doesn't happen if you hang on to hope.

Atrocious reffing aside, that was a horrible game by the Flames. No way is this a playoff team. These guys are a maddeningly inconsistent, mediocre, .500 hockey team, and they've got a very long way to go before they're considered a contender. Treliving has some work to do this summer, that's for sure.
I'm still baffled as to how they went from such an exciting, hard working, never-give-up team last year to this steaming turd we've been forced to watch this year, especially considering it's basically the same group of players. Unreal.

Top line was bad after the halfway point in the game. The Flames have nothing on a good night, behind the top guys, so they had no chance.
How much did JG play in the third? NHL.com doesn't have the shift chart anymore. Edit: Yes they do, different spot. JG was pretty invisible. Good thing the team got 2 points last night.
