Peluso on the Jets.
And these guys are smaller than the normal goons but basically the same role - Tootoo, Rinaldo, Mike Brown, Tanner Glass.

Cody McLeod with only 2 fighting majors since end of November speaks volumes.

I do think Gazdic and Peluso are two of the top guys in the league even though they both have to wear the shields. IMO both can play too.

Not that they have a choice on whether they wear a visor. If there is a fighting code then that if you wear a visor you shouldn't fight then you could say that this fight code is removing fighting from the league. all the anti-fight people can rejoice.

I say we claim him and tell him to after McDavid and co. next we play them. Then waive him the next day.

I haven't seen many fights lately at all.
Don Cherry must be pissed.

The thing about the visor and Gazdic that bugs me is that he has it tight and low to his face which makes it look like he uses it for protection vs. wearing one like Monahan where its small and tilted up high basically wearing it just due to requirements.

Gazdic might be hiding behind the visor, but you can't fault him for wearing the visor properly. Monahan's visor is just in a stupid position.

^I was thinking why Zach Stortini made an appearance in Gazdic's bio sheet.

^Isn't the visor supposed to be for protection? Not just looks/requirements.
Wearing a visor while fighting is a different thing. I think Iggy used to it and it would piss of other fan bases.

IMO all NHLers should be wearing full cages anyway. Obstructs vision my ***. Goalies wear it, women wear it, college players wear it

Monahan's visor drives me crazy.
But fighting with a visor is silly.

Umm what? Iggy was one of the few fighters who would always remove his visored helmet before fights.

Definitely not always. Several heat of the moment type fights he kept it on. He would remove his helmet often, though.

It's a two minute penalty for dumping your lid before a fight. I wonder if it's a penalty if you just release the straps though and let it fall off naturally.
i really don't fault gazdic for wearing the visor as it was intended.

I'm fairly certain Gazdic came into the league after the visor rule was implemented, so he has to wear it.
