Goddamn Hendricks just took a point-blank slapshot to the balls from Goligoski. I can't believe I actually feel bad for an Oilers player. That looked awful.

Give credit to Hendricks, he got up then skated off then collapsed.
Gotta hurt.

That was quick, Stars score again.
The NHL must change the lottery rule for the Oilers asap, it's ridiculous they have another chance at the #1 pick.

Western Conference OOT watch
Predators lead 2-1 midway through the third period
Stars lead 3-1 late in the second period.
Sharks lead 2-0 after twenty minutes
Final score
Canucks win 4-2

If there's any justice in the randomness of the lottery balls they hopefully won't get a top 3 pick this year.

The last few drafts are proof that there is no justice.
I have resigned myself to the Oilers getting the 1st overall again, it's going to happen. People thinking they can out-Oiler the Oilers are just kidding themselves, they have been doing this for a looooong time.
I just take comfort in the fact that Aaron Ekblad isn't an Oiler.

How many fixes have been since now? They have to outright ban them at this point

Yes. The fix was to cap the number of top three picks in a certain time frame. Probably 2 in 5 years. After that you're automatically dropped down to 4th pick.
Unfortunately the NHL is dumb.

Yep. Luckily outside of the McDavid year they actually won the lottery in a bunch of the worst years possible.
If we're lucky they go on a real run when McDavid comes back, don't finish bottom 5, don't win any of the 3 lotteries, draft another soft, skilled forward and the entire organization and fan base will think everything is hunky dory for the future.

The Sharks still lead 2-0 after two periods. Wingels and Tierney are the goal scorers.

Yakupov scores to make it 3-2, but, the Stars hang on to win.

Scoreless after one period between the Wild and Kings. Kemper is in net for the Wild and played well as he faced a dozen shots.
Richardson has scored for the Coyotes, it is now 2-1 Sharks with just over seven minutes left in regulation time.
