Way to go iggy!! What a class act and amazing player! Man, do I miss having this guy on the team. Glad he got the goal in Colorado if it couldn't come at the Dome... Would have had a huge iggy chant if he did.

Here's hoping he sticks around for years to come and gets to 700. Come home to Calgary Iggy... Johnny will help get you there.

I watched the video and read the thread with a huge smile on my face.

I am so pleased for him. What a great player and great guy. I really liked how all the Avs players came out to congratulate him on the ice.

Blake Comeau was there for his 500th and 600th goals! Lucky charm... Was Tanguay?

So nice to hear Iginla speak and see that smiling face in his interview after the goal. The greatest player in Flames history to date and likely also one of the greatest people in Flames history. I would really love to see Iggy win a cup before he retires.

Iginla was an awesome player for us and an even more amazing person. I remember seeing him and his wife in Safeway, a small distance apart and going up to him to tell him he was my favourite athlete, the reason I started watching hockey more and someone I really look up to. I spent about 30 seconds chatting with him, he was smiling ear to ear asking me about school and family and what I plan to do with my life. I answered him then I quickly told him I'll stop bothering him and leave him to his shopping with his lady. He said I wasn't bothering him at all and that I made his day. I will never forget how he indulged me and made me not feel awkward at all. I told him I didn't want an autograph and that the conversation was more than enough. As I walked away and said bye he said I should keep working hard for what I want and God bless you. This was at the Safeway downtown.

I see a lot of Iggy in Giordano. I met gio on the front lawn of some house in Killarney this summer. It was right around camp. He was wearing his typical dress pants and reddish brown tight shirt. Standing next to a blonde who I guess is is wife. Anyhow I saw him from my car, did a double take, came around parked and walked up to him. He greeted me before I greeted him. I asked how he is feeling and how the injury was. Told him he is an inspiration and I am proud to have him as the captain of my local cities hockey team. I saluted him, he saluted me and I left him alone. He was literally standing on a lawn of a decent sized house, with like 60 little kids around him dressed up and playing with toys. Part of why I didn't stick around, it was obviously some sort of kids event and I felt like I didn't want to take away from it. I was thinking wow, this dude just finished camp and he's at this event with these kids. What a man. Also noticed his super awesome matte black Audi parked out front.

I've met a lot of athletes, especially hockey players in this city, I've met cabbie, a ton of current and former flames, even Mikail grabovski, at Cowboys after he was bought out and before he went to the caps, totally rude guy.

Most of them, while obviously good guys, don't have that ability to engage people without making them feel awkward or unwelcome. Johnny is quite sincere. I met Monahan he was just super awkward and seemed a bit unsettled as I met him on 10th ave while he was with his stunning girlfriend. He actually said, I'm not Sean Monahan and walked off haha. All the people on 10th ave were like SEAN SEAN lol and he walked off (totally understandable). This was after a tough loss to the Sharks at the dome so I can understand a bit. Stajan was cool as well. Other than that most of the players I've met don't seem interested in interacting with adult male fans. I don't think it should be expected of them either. They are athletes. They are paid to be good at sports. But it is quite amazing to see a great athlete and an amazing, humble, sweet person inside.

Anyway it's super awesome Iggy is still doing what he does and I will cry tears of joy if he returns to Calgary to play for us again. Also love how he passed the torch to gio.

Awesome to see, he probably has another 100 in him if he wants. To bad the lockout x 2 effected his totals

"He's not likely to ever be a star, but has a good chance to be a player."
The Flames had a similar situation to the Stars when they traded away Brett Hull. Who knew he would become such a force! But that trade helped the Flames win the Cup.

Nevertheless, congrats to Iginla on his 600 goal!

The amazing thing about Iginla's feat is that nearly every player who will finish ahead of him in goals spent most of their careers playing in the high scoring 70s and 80s, when bottom half defencemen could barely skate, let alone actually defend.

Iginla has a good chance of passing Kurri (601), Ciccarelli (608) and Hull (610) by the end of the season, putting him at 16th all time. By the end of next year, he likely ends up ahead of Sakic (625) with a shot at Andreychuk (640). Unless he plays beyond next year, I think Shanahan is probably out of reach at 656.

Congrats to Jarome, what a great milestone. Certainly more impressive given the era he played in and the fact he missed significant games due to 2 lockouts. He really could be closer to 700 had that not happened. What a legend, nice to see him get that type of celebration from his teammates as well.

Congrats Jarome!!!

Here is one Flames fan that would rather have seen him score it as a Calgary Flame than anyone else. Like and share if you agree!

I'm shocked how low Husileius is. would have put him around 40 or 50 for sure, we was the set up man for Iggy biggest goal totals
