Seems like a lateral move to me, only thing either team really does is swap winger positon (LW for RW). Hawks want a good LW.

Why on Earth would Florida trade Huberdeau?

As with the word colour, it's American vs. Canadian. At least thats my perception of it.

That is correct. Canada uses the British spelling.

I figured Talon would save his assets to make a big trade with Winnipeg for both Ladd and Buff so he could get more ex Hawks

I don't think he give anything up for them, just try to sign them in the off season. If they are shopping Huberdeau, I wonder what it would cost to get him

Seems like the Panther have 6m in cap and a crap ton of roster spots to fill next season with 4 key RFA's (out of 8 RFA's currently on the NHL roster) due for raises, a captain to re-sign (Mitchell) and a replacement for Brian Campbell as he will be UFA. I feel like they may be preparing to be on a tighter budget and moving Huberdeau for a younger RFA would help them.

Huberdeau would be a nice target for the Flames if he was on the market. Pair him with Bennett and get 2 young combos going.

Except what on earth would Calgary ever be able to give up, not involving one of our core players.

Well if the rumor is Dano for Huberdeau then the Flames could match that one of Porier/Jankowski/Klimchuck plus one of Hickey/Anderson/Kylington?
Is Huberdeau worth 2 top prospects in the organization?

If this is true they should probably dump someone else's cap. Huberdeau should be one of the untouchables on that team.

It'd be funny if Edmonton picks up Gagner, just for the sheer awkwardness of having him and Kassian on the same team. What's a busted up face between team-mates right?

Sam Gagner.. from 8 point NHL game to waivers 16 months later. How does that happen.

Kassian broke Gagner's jaw with a dirty elbow a couple years back. Oilers fans had a huge hate for Kassian since
