Of course Putin would be puffing up Trump.
Putin would be ecstatic if he got to deal with a thin skinned moron who will throw his toys out of the pram every time Putin so much as farts in his direction.

Yeah, I'd support it. The socio-economic factors there (particularly wealth disparity) make it ripe for fundamentalist recruitment. Rumours are that the sultan is not of sane mind, and since the coup to depose him failed in the 1990s, and the hastily concocted marriage of his daughter, it's difficult to say who exactly is in charge there. Certainly it's troubling to think that the sultan's son-in-law, who originally gained influence by falsely claiming nobility, could actually be in charge there.
Besides, intelligence suggests they have the capabilities for a carpet-bombing campaign. Can't let that sort of tech fall under ISIS control. Definitely need to strike first.

In all seriousness, it's quite pathetic, isn't it, that the first reaction is to just bomb it without giving any thought as to whether the people who live there (fictional in this case) deserve to die or not.
I imagine if the question said "Ankara", the response would be the same, and I'm wondering what the answer would have been if the question said "Budapest" or "Kathmandu".
"Sounds foreign. Bomb it!"

Fair or not she has to run a nearly flawless campaign, any slip ups and she's probably cooked. That's why favorability matters, Ben Carson says all kinds of stupid #### and he still beats her in a hypothetical right now. It's why the Dems want Trump or Bush so bad, because they're the only two with worse favorability ratings than Hillary.
|
At this point so far out from the election - Clinton's favorability ratings don't matter at all. They fly all over the place during an election campaign. In the 1992 election, Bill Clinton had a favourability rating of 19% vs 30% unfavourable in early 1992. By the time September came around he was up 37% vs 36%.
Basically people will start to like whoever they plan to vote for, since no one knows who she'll be running against at this point - it doesn't matter at all.

Well, if you talk to your common American, it is shocking how many of them think the solution is to carpet bomb ISIS.
Cruz is just saying what people want to hear. Same thing with Trump. He gets away with saying ridiculous things because obviously people want to hear them.

Yeah, you always hear that notion from some of the super ridiculous people that say "well we should just turn the Middle East to glass" or some other seemingly racist BS. "We should carpet bomb".
I don't follow the logic though. 'We have a problem where an extremist group is running around killing innocent civilians- so let's go ensure we get ALL the innocent civilians for them just so we can get the extremist group too?'
Or because a couple hundred people died in a terrorist attack, let's go kill MILLIONS of people???

Most people crave simple answers to complex problems. You also have people who believe if the U.S. simply stopped all military interventions in the Middle East, Islamic extremism would dry up and the region would become stable and peaceful.

Really? I would call Trump many things but "thin skinned" wouldn't be one of them.
Can I ask you a simple question? Who is your favorite in the GOP party?

Have you been following this campaign? I mean I've never seen someone with thinner skin. He's literally done this in the campaign
Week 1: Poll X shows Trump ahead; Trump "Poll X is awesome and highly respected"
Week 2: Poll X shows Trump behind; Trump "Poll X is overrated and ran by a bunch of losers. They've always been against me!"
Week 3: Poll X shows Trump ahead again; Trump "That Poll X, boy they are great aren't they? And they're showing we wanna make America Great Again"
This is a guy who let Megyn Kelly, a marginally serious journalist, get deep into his head. Over reciting quotes he made. Nothing out of context. Putin would annihilate Trump in a negotiation, hence why he supports him winning.

If he feels attacked he will spend tons of time on Twitter, he is the definition of thin skinned. Besides delusional, childish, and lacking in intelligence.

How about them?
Politicians are, in general, not good people. They're not your friends or your neighbors. Democrats are just generally your run-of-the-mill scummy politicians.
The GOP has become a trainwreck full of people with values more in line with the ultra-conservative Middle East than with progressive Western nations.
|
Sorry I missed this.
How do I feel about Cheney? He's a war criminal and should face trial as such. US spending ballooned after 9/11, and the American people received such lovely gifts as the Patriot Act in return. Operated regime takeovers and waged war in mineral rich countries under false pretences much like children kill ants with a magnifying glass. War monger.
When it comes to Bush Jr, he says much more than I ever could.
www.dubyaspeak.com
My favorite is...
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
I have this on a tee shirt...
But this one is my favorite.
The Bush administration was a disaster. But it's not like things are getting better.
Congress supposedly cant agree on what to get for lunch, but in a rare form of bipartisanship just hammered through a 1.8 trillion spending bill, and not a peep. No one has noticed, we are all too worried about what some asshat with silly hair is doing.
The US has basically turned into a crony capitalist oligarchy; owned and operated by tech companies, the military, and other corporate interests.
Hell, watching the "facebook" sponsored events that resembled fear factor more than a presidential nomination debate should be slightly irritating no? Nominees were thanking facebook before introducing themselves, and then proceed to tell you how they are going to bleed for the little guy? Take money away from big bad corporate cuz the wittle guy needs a living? Derp ok.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Trump will never be a nominee, he's not bought and paid for. Cant have that.
Watching the debates we have nominees flat out saying we are gonna crowd Putin with missiles, create no fly zones over sovereign nations and if they look at us funny we'll punch em in the dick. Some nominees are calling it WW3. I'm honestly worried about the direction the US is taking and what it could mean socially in a country that is already experiencing unrest.
