Default Who has the right of way?

So I just drove through this intersection for the first time and had a guy give me the finger for what I'm assuming is apparently not going when it was my right of way. Fair enough, it's a weird intersection and I was hesitant to go as I wasn't sure if I actually had the right of way or not (if you're reading this, my bad). I'm still not sure that he was right.

So I turn to the CP brain trust.

Here is the intersection in question:

The blue and brown arrows do not have a stop sign. Left lane (blue) has to turn, Right lane (brown) can go straight or turn right. The other arrows (including yellow) all have a stop sign but they are not labelled as a 4 or 3 way. So if you have cars in green, yellow and purple, who has the right of way? (I was yellow)

FYI the reason it's even more confusing is that yellow section only has one lane of traffic each way where as the Blue and Brown is two lanes of traffic which continue in to the turn... if that makes sense... It's like 11th morphs into 49th which makes me think Green has the right of way (middle finger guy was green)

Anyways, I would love for someone to enlighten me. I've never hit an intersection like this before.

The guy that gave you the finger, was he in a white F350?

It was a light colored truck. Can't remember now if it was an F350

I believe he gave you the universal signal for 'you don't have the right of way'. . .

Not it was almost definitely a "Why aren't you ####ing going" type of look and finger cause I wasn't moving.

Right of way for the three directions with the stop signs should work the same as if it was a 4-way stop, i.e. first to stop is the first to go and if two vehicles stop at the same time, the one on the right has the right of way.

The people going southbound on 11th don't have to stop.

Brown/Blue has right of way, then it's pretty much a 3 way for the rest.

Whoever has the biggest balls has the right of way, clearly he was trying to show you his dominance

Truck drivers do this by coming to a stop as close to your back bumper as possible I find.

The more important question, was he wearing white Oakley's.... on the back of his head?

kk. Good to know. That makes sense. Is there a reason they're not labelled as such?

They're stop signs. That should be all the labelling you need.

What other labelling could they do?

Yup, hate this intersection although I'm usually the guy going southbound on 11th so I don't have to think about it much.

If you label a stop sign as 3 or 4 way stop, it indicates that all directions have such a stop. A lack of a 3-4 way sign means there's at least one direction that doesn't need to stop.

We did stop. Everyone was stopped and no one knew when to go.

Same. This was my first time coming from the other directions.

Looks like a good spot for a traffic circle.
