His upside, as far as I can see, is that he
might possibly return to a level of play at which he is nearly worth the money he's making. It's that salary that keeps him from being worth taking on. High risk, pretty nearly zero reward.
In keeping with which, here's a sure-fire plan for investment success:
1. Buy an iceberg. Watch it inevitably melt away, taking your money with it.
2. Buy a
bigger iceberg. It, too, will inevitably melt, but it will take longer, so you will be losing your money more slowly.
