I would agree with this, however it was noted that he spent time traveling to Saudi Arabia, and I think Pakistan.

This guy was either a extremely talented amateur, or a somewhat professional.

Everything about this thing reeks that he or his wife was trained. The way that they didn't call attention to themselves, the planning, the acquisition of weapons and bomb making material.

There's a possibility of them getting some training either online or in person, and being given a plan, and then activating themselves when they were ready.

Absolutely.

I just know the way that information will be presented in the media here and what people will assume. Unfortunately.

It is his pure emotion talking, was he right to say it? No.

Do I understand where he is coming from? Yes.

The absurdity of the gun violence in the US is what drove his post.

We all think things like this all the time, and my intent wasn't to lecture or embarrass AFC. Sometimes when we talk about emotional issues either on a message board or in person, out anger or sadness or exasperation get the better of us.

As far as the whole gun control thing, at times I think the government has forgotten how to answer the simple question of how can we best serve our nation, and how can we best ensure the security and safety of our people.

To me a armed population, is just a stupid idea, it really is, human beings are emotional creatures, and we all have our moments of rage or hatred, and combining that with semi automatic magazine fed weapons is a recipe for disaster and death and mayham.

At the end of the day, these two monsters were inspired by ideology, the Planned Parenthood shooter was inspired by his abortion stance. The guy who shot his workmate reporter and camera man by anger and a workplace slight. The Sandy Hook killer was inspired by hatred and a sense of not being recoginzed. The Muslim Doctor on the military base by religion.

But in all of these uncommon reasons, the commonality was the result and the weapons used to enact or satisfy their reasons.

We need to remove the weapons and the temptation to use them.

If you can't even stop people on the terrorist watch list from buying guns, since Republicans blocked that too, then what hope is there.

Sounds like the female accomplice (Tashfeen Malik) pledged allegiance to ISIS before committing the attacks:

So since it was Muslim's shooting up a Christmas party will this be classified as a "hate" crime or just a regular terrorist attack?

I think any terrorist attack is a hate crime.

I don't think so. Terrorism is usually associated with a political agenda. A hate crime is more religious, ethnic, or gender based. This clearly has religious tones.

the official definition of a hate crime is:

“criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.”

terrorism is defined as

"the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims."

to me this links to a terrorist event. She was inspired by a terrorist group and pledged allegiance to it.

They basically followed the message from I think last year where ISIS was basically saying, you don't need us to plan or help you, go out and shoot people or stab them or pick up a rock and bash their brains in, all in our name.

To me, its terrorism, more then a hate crime.

I think that most terrorist crimes stem from hate. Therefore all terrorist crimes are also hate crimes, but not all hate crimes are terrorist crimes.

Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things though.

Reverse it.

If it were a couple of Christians that shot up a Ramadan party would it be a hate crime?

I would think that as the perpetrators of the crime as well as the philosophy of ISIS is based on their religion it has to meet the condition of "motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.”

I don't know if you could even say "more" a terrorist event. I think you could say a hate crime AND a terrorist event.

Even by lowlife cable media standards, this is pretty pathetic. Inside Edition apparently paid $1,000 to get in, but CNN, MSNBC, FOX and even the BBC all entered

It is tuff not to hate people sometimes.

Worst part is this has an audience, a large audience.

What a goofy situation, capped off by the chuckling landlord explaining how shocked he is at the condition of the house. Like good ****ing lord. His tenants just committed a mass murder, and we're watching footage of an old man going "You know, I take pictures of this property before and after tenants move in and out and well huck huck huck, look at it now, terrible condition".
