Not that it matters to most football fans because it's bathroom break/go get more food or booze time, but what an uninspiring choice.

The NFL is going to announce one of the musical acts taking part in this year’s Super Bowl halftime show during Thursday night’s game between the Lions and Packers, but a report from the Wall Street Journal may have stolen some of their thunder on Thursday afternoon.
The Journal reports that Coldplay will headline the show, which the league says will be “honoring the past, recognizing the present and looking ahead to the next 50 years.” Per the report, the band will be releasing a new album on Friday and that they are likely to put tickets on sale for a tour after playing during the widely watched halftime festivities.
That new album features an appearance by Beyonce and the report includes a note that she is “is in talks to make a guest appearance” in Santa Clara.

If you can keep the offence simple for Kaep then he can be an excellent QB.
If he goes to the right situation next year, with an OC that can let him play with confidence, he can make a difference.
Don't judge him by this year. There have been lots of shenanigans going on in 49er land.

Did not see the Lions coming out with a 17-0 lead. How the Packers have fallen.

I'm so tired of seeing the refs bail out Rodgers week after week with soft penalty calls against the defence.

^^ That
On another note, why are refs rewarding ANY quarterback for under-throwing a ball? That was basically exactly what that pass was. Rodgers tosses up a prayer and its well short and it's the defensive players fault that he is in the way when a receiver is trying to run back to the ball and the CB is in the way?

The Lions and Chiefs started 1-7 and 1-5 and right now you'd probably say they're more likely to be playoff teams than the Falcons and Packers who started 5-0 and 6-0. What a bizarro year.

That pass is probably an interception had the receiver not grabbed the head of the defender. Should have been OPI if they insist on calling something
Good they missed the kick. Bad call didn't lead to points at least

So Jim Harbaugh or Nick Saban to Green Bay next year? McCarthy is on thin ice right now.

Wow, the second weak PI call on Detroit. Unbelievable.

Why not though? He had a very good defense in their super bowl year, but since then it's been terrible and easily picked apart more often than not. That defense revolved around Woodson a lot more than anyone thought, even more so than the poster-boy Clay Mathews
Green Bay is extremely lucky so far with the officiating. 2 PI calls, neither of which should be called

How's Harbaugh going to coach Indy AND Green Bay at the same time? What an amazing feat that would be.

Well, either way I was rooting for the Bears last weekend. I'm still mad about that Superbowl.

I'e be looking at Adam Gase leaving Chicago for his first gig in Indy, unfortunately. For the first time in a long while, I'm hoping not a lot of coaches get fired after this year... and if so, I think Sean Payton garner the most attention

At this point I think Pagano probably will save his job by making the playoffs. Team didn't quit on him when they had the chance, and they're winning with Matt Hasselbeck. But who knows, Irsay is Irsay so Pagano could get fired or he might just quit.

Not that I'm going to defend Dom Capers, but this isn't a defensive issue. Their D isn't playing that bad it's their offence that is killing them. Clements has to go and McCarthy needs to alter the scheme. Need a fresh mind for the offence.
I'm not the biggest McCarthy fan but j don't think he is on thin ice yet. This is a team that was one bad bounce away from the Super Bowl last year. I'd actually point more to Ted Thompson who refuses to bring in veteran help.
