That just sounds like a justification to dismiss an argument without having to engage with it.
General newsflash:
You don't have to engage every argument on the Internet, and you can pretty much justify your methods for making that choice however you want.

After attracting severe criticism on social media and from members of the Muslim community around the world, Saudi Arabia has defended itself saying that the kingdom has accepted more than 2.5 million refugees since the Syrian conflict began. The oil-rich nation also claimed that it has given permanent residency to hundreds of thousands of Syrians ever since 2011.
Two sides to every story (not that I think the Saudi's are in need of defending).

The Following User Says Thank You to undercoverbrother For This Useful Post:
Nice to see that that our government has been generous to give our members of the military 3 days eviction notices to pack up their quarters and move into multi tenant bunk rooms
Yes, that was planned and talk about earlier in November:
Canadian military can already house 12K Syrian refugees
Quote:
Chief of the Defence Staff Gen. Jon Vance ordered a review weeks ago so that the military could hit the ground running in case the government asked for his support.
Refugees could be housed in cadet summer camps and military training bases.
"We've got the whole network of bases across Canada -- probably, though I’m just guessing at this stage of the game -- it could probably come back to (Canadian Forces Base) Trenton, where they could be processed and distributed out," said retired Major General David Fraser.
I think his issue was more the 3-day notice saying "get the hell out, we're doing this!"

Up to 2,300 Syrian refugees expected in Calgary over the next six to eight weeks

Looks like Justin is going to continue his old mans tradition of treating Canadian Forces Members like garbage.
I'm all for bringing refugees in, but this is gross treatment of those members of the military that are basically being thrown out of their homes.
Well, the government asked them to be ready by Nov 30, they didn't "give them three days".
CFB Kingston chose to move members, and did so on that timeline, so that IF they hold refugees they could be close together.
CFB Trenton didn't even have to move any permanent residents.
Very interesting website you got your photo from. Catching up on your daily dose of vitriolic anti-leftism I see

I'm sure that's the standard format of all letters given to military personnel. Do you want it to include "could you please at your earliest convenience..."?
It's a ridiculous thing to be mad about. The Canadian military is moving troops around to temporarily accommodate the incoming refugees.
Again, I think it was the notice that was the problem. In that it was very short notice. That was my understanding of his gripe, which I was trying to clarify.
Am I speaking a different language here?

Who cares about the website, is the letter accurate or not? And why move the soldiers out of the housing? Could they not put the refugee's not be put into the temporary housing bunk housing?
I get that they need housing but basically giving 3 days notice is a joke.

It's not accurate that Trudeau or the Liberals have much to do with the three day notice, your gripe appears to be with CFB Kingston. Impossible to say they weren't warned long beforehand, too, being that these bases have been prepping since October.
The website only matters because I've only seen this spin from similar sites. Nothing from people actually involved.
I was just going to post this. It could be the main reason why the government can't get to the 25,000 goal as quick as they hoped.
It's not easy to give up everything and leave, especially if you own property or have family there still. You have to accept that you may never see any of it again.

I was kind of surprised when I saw that stat too. But at the same time, it makes sense. No matter how awesome a new country sounds, home will always be home. It's literally on the other side of the world. They might have heard how harsh winter can be. And it can be pretty expensive to live here.

They acknowledged many refugees in camps are still hoping they might return to Syria or want to remain in the region.
To move to literally the other side of the world as far away from friends and family as you can get and likely never seen any of them again, that would be pretty hard to digest.
