I feel like my first question as a judge or a defense attorney would be, why did he make this device that was obviously (if he was as smart as they say) so beneath his abilities.
.. at that point, his case will unravel as he admits to being a criminal mastermind and purposefully putting together a POS clock just to troll the school.
I don't know how anyone can believe this kid and his father, it seems so clear now they used the obvious anti Muslim sentiment to gain notoriety and now financial gain.
If you actually made a clock out of those cool kids electronics kits they would look like this:
