Abi really quiet again, she knows she's at the bottom though, but she's not a threat.

They didn't vote split because they needed to protect Stephen. Split the votes 5,4 between Ciera and Wentworth and they open themselves up to the possibility of Joe, Savage, and 1 more voting with Ciera, Wentworth, and Abi to get rid of Stephen.
The only way a vote split would've worked is if they split 6,3 with Stephen, Jeremy, Tasha, Wiglesworth, Kimmi, and Spencer in the 6, and Joe, Savage, and Keith in the 3.

I enjoyed that episode so much... Savage was such a pompous schmuck.
Props:
Fishbach. They at least made it look like he had the votes to get out Joe. His biggest detractor is now gone. With Savage gone Jeremy will want him closer.
Wentworth. Can't not give a prop for a correct idol play.
Jeremy. He's in control... Fish was set to go home but Jeremy says "no" and he get's his wish.
Slops:
Joe. Yes, he won immunity... but he lost his best ally (probably because of his big mouth letting the Three Amiga's know that it was gonna be one of them).
WRT Abi... considering how big a deal Savage made about just missing out on jury last time I thought she was just trying to be nice. The bird flip was uncalled for.

I dunno the way he flipped off the ball in the challenge and then abi made it seem to as more of a "ah screw you" as I just got voted out. Not a F off.

Lots of flipping the birds last episode (Cass when she walked in for tribal). Hoping to see more of that greasy drama tonight.
ps- If I was in final 3, I'd want Abi and Kimmi by my side

Two painfully weak players still in the game this late makes for awful tv.
If abi or Ciara are not tossed next episode I will probably stop watching. Grating personalities who provide zero entertainment in my opinion. Others find them entertaining, I sure dont.

That was a good episode. Quite enjoyed it. Looks like the weather decided to really pound them though.
I can't understand why green just couldn't figure out that ladder for reward. It didn't look that complicated at all. They couldn't even look over and see that bottoms had to all match?
Honestly, I'm glad to see that the "power 8" are breaking up. I find the most boring seasons are the "old school" ones were you have a block of 5-6 who lockstep vote out one after the other who's not with them until they are left. With this, you never know who's going home. I like what I'm seeing here.
Next couple of episodes should be interesting.
With Kelly Wiglesworth taking her place on the jury, Regulator75 takes his leave of the pool. =(

I think Abi has done a good job this season once she took some mood levelers. She also part of a key voting block, and well protected because she's not standing out like Wentworth or Ciera as a dangerous player.
Plus she outlasted nearly everyone in the immunity challenge, and she certainly showed that she wasn't the weak link in the reward challenge.

I did not like Jeremy on his first season. This season he has been very enjoyable to watch. I still want Wentworth to win, but wouldn't mind if Jeremy, Keith or Joe do. I'd be really disappointed to see Abi, Kimmi, or Fishback win

They talk about the evolution of the game away from standard alliances to vote blocks within alliances.
But at the end of the day this evolution is going to come to a screaming halt when the final 3 (?) get in front of the Jury. Fishback if he keeps going on this course is going to face an enraged jury because he's stabbing people in the back left right and center. Kimmi is a coat tail rider, Abi is probably playing to her strengths or lack of strength the best.
There's no chance that Keith or Joe make it to the jury unless they go on a ungodly run of immunity wins, they're too jury friendly and don't screw people over. Jeremy is still incredibly wishy washy.
Wentworth is going to have to be really careful now, she's going to need to turn on her voting block fairly soon, or the numbers will gut her.

This is the part that gets me, too. If you have a voting block in your alliance...are you not really in an alliance after all? How long can an alliance last if people keep voting different based on whatever criteria they want to use?
I'm wondering if what we're seeing is the end of alliances greater than 5 people.

An alliance greater than 2 people has always been a fantasy framework on Survivor.
For the last, I dunno, 10 season maybe, it's always about having a solid 2. If you have a power couple, they are going to run over anyone else in a traditional 'multi person' alliance.
Two people on the same page is the most dangerous thing in survivor. If Fishbach can keep his paranoia in check, him and Jeremy might be able to coast to the final.

I think that is the evolution, these 'alliances' still exist but the voting blocks are deciding who goes home. In this case, we saw a voting block of 3 from the big alliance align with the voting block of 3 from the bottom to take out Wigglesworth, you would THINK that would effectively dissolve the alliance and create a 6 (JR, Spencer, Fish, Witches) vs 4 (rest) mentality. But no, what we will see next week is an entirely new voting block picking off another target. It is almost like a game of musical chairs imo. You need to be working every angle, talking to everyone while trying not to be noticed talking to everyone and just hoping when the song ends or Jeff reads the votes you are in a position where your ass is planted in a chair... and you won't really know if you ARE in that position until it happens. Crazy season.
This week was great again, I like the move by Jeremy and Spencer to vote with Fishback, not only is Stephen JR's closest ally but this is another move he can bring up to the jury (if he makes it) to strengthen his case for the win, same thing with Spencer. And of course Fishback eliminates the 'golden boys' closest ally and can put he feather in his cap for organizing it. I am imagining this vote showing up as his most crucial if he gets a chance to tell his story to the jury as it will be him setting up getting rid of Joe, the biggest threat in the game.
Another week of a great vote where Ciera did absolutely nothing but throw her hands up in the air but yet somehow thinks she is some great gift to this game. I would like to see her make the final 3 just to get torn to shreds on how horrible of a game she has actually played.
I am guessing next week the weather has forced them into some sort of situation where Jeff is willing to make a trade for a better shelter or something along those lines. Maybe give me all your fishing stuff, all your comfort items and I'll give you this great tarp and some supplies to build a proper roof. Disagreement among the tribe leads to a vote.

Right now the biggest mistake was not breaking up the Witches Coven, who as a voting block of three who can basically be mercenaries and play alliances off of each other have some pretty undeniable power in this game.
basically a saavy group of three girls can effecively sell their votes as a bloc to either side of the alliance equation. They will also be able to engineer blindsides within an alliance by offering their services to one member..
This game has evolved to the point where you don't need or want to have a large alliance. You can get by with a core alliance of three lets say and then try to buy the voting bloc floating in the middle and treat them as mercenaries, you just have to be smart enough to protect your core alliance from the voting block outnumbering them.
We know that frankly Joe is gone as soon as he loses a challenge, he is a machine and he could win right until the end. Nobody knows that Jeremy has an idol, but I'm willing to be that if Joe loses a challenge that its in Jeremy's best interest to give one idol to Joe.
I have a funny feeling that Fishback is going to get blindsided, the problem with sticking your head up and engineering too big of a blindside and doing the politicing that he's doing that he's become a very real threat.

I have a sneaking suspicion the final three are going to be:
Abi
Fishback
Cierra
Each of whom would have starved to death in the first 20 days had it not been for the actions of their teammates. If I wanted to watch a bunch of people sitting back on a chair or hammock trashing each other, i'd watch one of those "Real Housewives" shows my wife tapes.

If Fishback drags 2 goats with him I hope that he loses.

Agreed on your last paragraph. I'm a big Joe fan because he comes across as a good person but he's also a challenge beast. Sad thing is, as everyone has pointed out, he's gone the first Immunity he doesn't win. I wish he was more like Jeremy; a physical threat but also plays the mental game well too.
I don't think Joe understands the importance of the planning/scheming part of the game as much, and is just hoping to power his way through and do lots to prove his worth to the tribes.

It is pretty crazy that it's been like a month and 10 people are gone, and Joe hasn't had to be worried about tribal council as he either won tribe immunity or individual immunity.
