So the PC version is indeed NHL 06 with a new cover. Not enough changes to justify a purchase in my mind. Damn, I might have to buy that 360 soon.

The IGN review of NHL 07 seems a little odd to me. They gush about the cutscenes etc. but seem to give presentation only an 8.0 because of the menus? And the value of only 7.5 seems very low considering they spend time praising how great the dynasty mode is....seems they really nailed it for the online portion.
To me it seems as though it should have been 9+/10 instead of the 8.7 (which is still very good). Basically, the stuff they don't like I don't care much about and the stuf they do like is what I'm looking for.

Some kids on the EA boards are saying that EA NHL07 is in stores this morning. If anyone here in Calgary seeing it on the shelves, report back to us, thanks!

I heard we won't be getting it until the 14th. I work in electronics at SuperStore but if the game is out today elsewhere, I might have to make a trip across the street to EB Games on my break.

The East always gets the game first because of the location of the manufacturer of course, I remember last year there were kids in Philly and Ontario playing the game 2 days before us.

That's what I thought too. They really overrated how important online play is. While there are alot of people who like it there's also alot of people like me who could care less about it.

I absolutely HATE multiplayer sports games... To me it's about single player Franchise, there's too much cheese from online users.

It's funny how so many people have different views about what's important.
I have no interest whatsoever in Franchise mode or online play. I like to play single seasons against the computer or 2-player games in-person.

My favorite way to play is 2 on 2 with a few buddies and some beer. It always feels 10x better to get a goal on a give and go or a one-timer when it's your real teammate on the wing that you're passing to instead of the computer.
