Can you see who's assigned to what? Can you assign multiple people to multiple tasks?

Apparently yes. I've only read it and haven't actually looked myself but I guess while in workshop mode, aiming at a particular person will show what they are currently assigned to. I don't think you can assign one person to multiple tasks though. Unless you mean one person tending to several crops? You can do that but I don't think you can have the same person assigned to tending crops as well as a guard post. I could very well be wrong about that though.

Wish you could incorporate the existing structures into your settlement more. Attaching walls, floors, anything to the wrecked home that are already there is no go. It'd be nice to be able to fix those up a bit. I've really only worked on Sanctuary at this point though.
The acid rain that rolls in every now and then is a nice touch.

Everyone knows WASD is the only proper way to play games.

Not the floors, but you can atleast patch up the walls.

That's me as well. 6 hours in game and pretty sure 5 of those were in my settlement.

Ugh, how hard would it be to make a little table or something, so I can at least see if someone is unassigned or something. Make it a poster that hangs on a wall! I wonder if it could be a mod...

What I want is to be able to clean up my god damn settlement. I have found many brooms, parts to a vacuum and enough industrial strength abraxxo cleaner to fill a room. Let me make this #### shine and get all the unmoveable garbage out of here.

They made Fallout 4 but what we really wanted was Sim Apocalypse Settlement

How do you guys scrap that kinds of stuff? I've picked up phones, hot plates, duct tape etc while wondering around the wasteland. When looking at them in your inventory, you can see what scraping them breaks them down into. Only way I've figured out so far is to drop it all on the ground in your settlement and scrap like everything else. Is there a better way?

A quick look online shows a number of players are having an issue with this too, especially lefties. I may have to try to wrap my head around default bindings to have an easier time building.

I'm even weirder. The control scheme I've used for every FPS since DOOM is A-Z-Ctrl-Alt. I don't have any issues with it really in Fallout 4, except that I can't move backwards when in the build menu

I thought I'd read if you transfer all the junk to your settlement (at a work table I think they're all connected inside a single settlement) it'll automatically break down the junk to get the components as needed. Haven't tested it yet.

I've done that a bit, patched up some holes from the outside but actual repairs would be a neat integration.

Not as far as I can tell but I find the inventory system to be a bit confusing. I do the "transfer all junk" each time I come back from the wasteland but my copper stock was still the same despite having transferred several items that contained copper.
**edit**
N/M, Blaster says that' correct. Odd, I must be dong something wrong.

I'm actually amazed that this hasn't happened yet, with how popular Walking Dead and other things like that have been.

Put it in the work bench.
Build a thing
Materials will come from items in the work bench to build said thing.
Sleep.
Materials not needed from the scapped item will now also be deposited.

I just figured this out today. While a settler is highlighted in workshop mode, the respective item that they're assigned to will be green as well. Kind of a silly system, as the settler must be within eyeshot of their post, it seems.
