Finally got the spindle today! Finished pretty close to the end of the timer, and didn't get the ship drop, but I'm still happy.
Also finished the ToM quest today, finally. I won't feel bad when I'm running daughters and oryx, and I don't have it.
I joined a pug at warpriest today, and the "leader" immediately laid down an ultimatum about hitting headshots, immediately making me think he was a dick. During gameplay, the dude keeps giving shout outs to people, so he's obviously some "big deal" streamer. We beat the warpriest with only one wipe, then finished golgoroth, and the daughters on the first try.
When we got to oryx, this dudes friends kept dying in dumb ways. Finally, the runner gets the relic for the first time, dunks on the knight, and immediately runs away, leaving me in the open alone trying to kill the knight without the relic bubble, and I die.
Dude flips out and quits.
Some people take the game way too seriously.
This guy was a complete donkey.

Did spindle run on my first try last night. Pretty easy if you have a good group.
Also got the chaperone quest finished as well.
All in all a successful evening.
Did anyone pick up the new LiTC Eirene sniper this week? It came with a great scope, LiTC, and Unflinching/Mulligan. I didn't think it was possible for that sniper to get any better, but it has. So good now.

I finally got my Spindle as well! It was pretty easy with three of us running at 310+. Finished with 3 mins to spare. Got to test it on the Warpriest HM too. Feels nice to just pop all your shots in at once, though I wonder if it's still better to run ToM/Blessings there.

Get to about 265 first. That should be high enough for you to run the raid on normal up until Oryx. You'll probably be gearing up on the way there too. We were all around 265-280 the first day the raid came out and did decently well. At the very least damage wasn't a huge issue as much as mechanics, considering we were running it blind that first time.
Got the Spindle by two manning it and for whatever reason was easier than 3 people. Maybe our strategy worked out of turning me invis as I popped Stormcaller over a mob and proceeded to waste them.
Personally I like how well easy the ToM is. It's just easy to hold the trigger and pop in/out of the bubble repeatedly. Damage output is at least the same though Datto has been the only one I know that's been able to finish Warpriest in one phase. Proper bubble placement is key though.
And not a fan of the LitC as a perk on snipers. Got a phantom the other day with a combination of head and bodyshots. Not a sniper I'd use regularly since I rely too much on the excess aim assist in twitch sniping, but I have noticed I've leaned towards trying to take potshots at the body because I have a chance of getting that kill.
Just wanted to say the new trials is a ton of fun. The matchmaking is much better (tending to play against teams more to your skill level), and the bounties make for some decent rewards. I got a 315 primary as part of the gold package, so for someone who will likely never stamp their passport to the lighthouse, it was nice to get a good drop for picking up a few wins along the way.

I haven't played the King's Fall raid yet, looking to try it someday soon if anyone doesn't mind playing with a king's fall newbie.

Haha... yeah, they are interesting. Fun group though.
Same as here... BigBCalgary, I'm usually mucking about solo...wouldn't mind hooking up with some CP'rs even to just fire team some quests, levels or strikes. No headset right now though, waiting for xmas to replace it. Have a 291 Hunter, a 244 titan and a 229 warlock.
