He was a forward playing defense basically. No awareness in the defensive zone. Took him a couple seasons to figure it out and was rolling ever since.

Full credit to Ramo tonight too. Save he made of Kessel at 4-2 midway through the third and then, about a minute later where a puck got deflected and he had to fire out his leg to get a toe on it, could well have gone in, and either in the net may well have turned it into a fire drill in the Flames end for the remaining part of the third.

What a game by the boys tonight. Thought everyone had a great game. Could tell right off the bat that the
message was to get pucks to the nets... Everything was being thrown at fleury early.
That Bennett goal... Wow! This is how I see the flames going forward. Gaudreau-Monahan followed by Bennett. Coming at teams in waves that way.
Loved watching gaudreau and Monahan play hacky-sack on that goal. Amazing skill from both of them.

Good game tonight, still think Wideman deserves to be scratched, he's just been sloppy

I wore my third jersey on Thursday and they won. So I wore it again tonight.
Obviously the streak is because of me

So many things to like tonight - easily their best game of the year.
Bennett's goal was ridiculous. And Gaudreau was doing Johnny things all over the ice. But there were other things:
Backlund is back - another great game.
Monahan had his best game of the year.
Stajan played great. Brodie is awesome.
But Russell was fantastic - his best game of the year by far.
I also thought the PP was the best it has been all year.
Ramo was great. The Flames won the goaltending battle!
Hamilton and Wideman were both good as well.
Really tough road trip coming up but they have get to be feeling a whole lot better about themselves after this one.

Does anybody else king of hope Johnny grows a mustache?
Hell the whole team should (try to) grow mustaches! Mustaches for everyone!

I think we need a gif. of Dave Bennet after Sams goal.
Like Cassie pointed out in the interview with Sam he comes to Calgary to live with Sam and starts cooking all his meals then Sam gets on a few point streaks. Coincidence? I think not. I think all those take out meals might have slowed him down while he was in that hotel room.
Side note. How sweet of a job does Dave have right now? Keep your kid who plays in the NHL out of trouble and cook him meals. That's the dream my friends, that is indeed the dream.

No way. Wideman made a beauty play after getting rocked which resulted in JG's first goal. Defensively he was fine, not sure which game you were watching.

I'm sure this has happened before, in the history of the NHL surely this has happened many times. It's the first time I can recall seeing it though. A puck intentionally batted out of the air towards a player who then bats it out of the air for a goal....That is just crazy. It wasn't a fluke bounce....it was intentionally directed. That is insane.

In that Gif it looks like Guadreau just effortlessly hovers around, changing angles on a dime. Maybe that's his secret.

He really is a Jedi. One of these days we're just going to see Johnny move a puck through the air with his mind.

Right after the goal, Randorf made a comment about how the Flames were getting all the bounces. Neither announcer was willing to give credit for this play being intentional.
Also, was the picture quality of last nights game not particularly poor? The main camera was not HD.
