When that happens, as a goaltender all you can do is guess base on circumstance. The shot was in a bit closer, so he got low and spread out in a standard pose. The puck didn't hit him.

Kidding. I agree on his body language, but that's not an excuse. That play happens a dozen times a game at least. A ways out. No traffic. Not a hard or crazy shot that found a corner. Just a forward who had nothing so put it on net. it should be an easy save even with a screen.
Put another way if Ortio needs a crystal clear view on every 30 ft muffin he's in a lot of trouble. I don't think you get many of those in the nhl.
