The injury to Sanders will be something to watch. Used to be that you could put anyone on the field and Peyton Manning could make them look like a bonafide NFL receiver. It's not really the case this year so if Sanders was to miss any time they'll need to get the running game in order because Sanders is their most reliable option at WR for those 3rd and 5 types of plays. Still they did manage 150+ on the ground in 33 attempts yesterday. I think that will be a big key for them. Their defence is hands down the best in the league, I want to see that unit at close to full health go up against New England and Green Bay.
Realistically I think the AFC playoff teams are set right now. Denver, New England, Cincinatti, and Indy are winning their Divisions. The Jets and Steelers will be the two Wild Card teams. Everyone else...is lousy, or good enough at not making those 2 plays a game they need to in order to win...cough San Diego, cough Cleveland. I have to admit that I underestimated the Jets offence, and if Roethlisberger gets back, maybe Pittsburgh can move in on the Bengals, who always look so good in the first 8 games of the season.
The NFC still has a bit to determine, but Atlanta, Carolina, and Green Bay are all going to the playoffs. Arizona should make it as the NFC West winner although yesterday still shows me why I can't outright trust that team. Outside of that, I guess all the NFC West teams still have a shot at a second Wild Card berth along with Minnesota. But the Vikings seem to have a leg up having won 3 of their first 5. Seattle absolutely is in must win this week, and they are good at finding ways to lose the close games this year.

I'll be at the Seahawks/Niners game tonight. I'm not a fan of either team but I'm with a group of Seattle fans so...I'll be cheering for the home team.
Then sadly this great defensive season for the Broncos will result in a Wild Card loss when they lose 10-9. Manning is a legend to be sure, but he unquestionably looks like one of the worst QBs in the league. Ryan Fitzpatrick looks better. Can't imagine how weak that arm will be for a home playoff game at Mile High in the cold. Kubiak of course doesn't have the balls to do anything, but they're going to blow a good look at winning it all with a QB who can't physically perform even at an average level anymore.
Yep, it's frustrating. I just don't see Kubiak or Elway forcing a move to Osweiler. (Who I think will be a good starter).

I'm sure it will be a great time, but if you are your buddies are all in Seahawks gear and cheering for them, you should keep an eye on your surroundings in and around the game. The Bay Area is amazing, but the 49ers fans are notoriously nasty to visiting fans. Not sure what the new stadium is like, but Candlestick was bigtime sketchy for those not cheering for the 49ers in my experience, and they REALLY hate the Seahawks.
Tomasula as a head coach looks completely clueless and legitimately confused out there.
His reward, for reporting to the 49'ers owner and GM the last couple years to build a case against punting Harbaugh, looks like it will last a year (or less).
Looks like the shell of a team it used to be just a couple years ago, with most of the same talent. Kaepernick not even attempting a rush attempt?

Uhhh...what? Frank Gore, Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, Aldon Smith, Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, Michael Crabtree are all gone, and that's just off the top of my head. Those are pretty significant subtractions.

49ers could be about to enter Browns/Bucs/Redskins territory the next little while. What decent coach wants to go work for Baalke/York after firing one of the best coaches in the sport after 4 extremely successful years, and replacing him with...whatever Tomsula is? York is basically now Dan Snyder West. Hope 49er fans can hold on to that great 3 year run because they might not make the playoffs 3 times in the next 10 years.

We survived the Dennis Erikson/Mike Nolan/Mike Singletary eras. The undermining of Harbaugh was a pretty tough think to watch.
There were hopes that when Jed York was given control of the team, it seemed to let allow things to prosper again after years of mismanagement by his parents.
But it appears he was simply busy getting Levis Stadium built; as soon as the ribbon was cut he started meddling.
I've really distanced myself this year. I won't cheer for another team and to watch what has unfolded over the past year has been tragic.

I had a 49ers jersey on (I had a Vikings shirt underneath so I didn't feel like I was a cheating on my team) but most of my group wore Seahawks gear. There was never an issue. Not one. Everyone was laughing and having fun. The locals couldn't have been friendlier to Seahawks fans. Maybe it's the new stadium but it was a great experience and once again, San Francisco sports fans didn't let me down. Great time. Terrible game but it was a great time.

That would be a welcomed change for me. I've been to Candlestick many times over the years, and it's one of only a few stadiums I wouldn't wear my team's jersey to on a road game.
Maybe it's a change in demographics with the move to Santa Clara. How is the new stadium anyways? I heard it's amazing and very technology driven.
Agreed, the whole team is a train wreck but he needs to at least try to run at times and show the defense that part of his game, right now they know he wont run and it is quite easy to defend him....
