Default CFL vs NFL vs NCAA

The last two games have made me feel like the tickets are worth the money again?

What's everyone favorite brand of ball? I'm NCAA then NFL then CFL.

nothing beats 75k in the stands, and in the NCAA the ball moves around the field about as much as the CFL.

Usually I can't take naps during the day, my body just doesn't fall asleep until dark. However, during Saturday afternoon come NCAA football season, I get a lot of sleep in. Most of the football is pretty boring. So many running plays, the games usually exceed 3 and a half hours, and there are many timeouts/commercial breaks.

I don't mind sitting down to watch a good college game, however I hate the bowl series setup so I really don't have any team I root for and don't follow what's going on with any intrest.

The NFL has just so many things, Madden, Fantasy Football, the huge gambling market. In terms of following a full season this is defintley my favorite. However when it comes to sitting down to watch one game, I'll take the CFL. The NFL has more superstars and household names, but watching the west coast offense which soo many teams have just bores me to sleep. The reason team's like Indy are so popular to watch is because they play CFL football. You watch a CFL game you know for sure you'll see some big plays no matter who is on the field, you watch a Bears/Bucs game you'll be lucky to see two.

I think you can compare the CFL and NFL to NBA and NCAA basketball. The NBA produces it's exciting games especially when the Suns play, however NCAA ball is usually more consistantly closer and more exciting. With the players being older and mature the talent in the NBA is obviosully much better and no doubt you'll see more turnovers and some sloppy play in the NCAA game along. However more often then not your gonna see more exciting more plays, more passion and more heart in an NCAA game. The NFL and CFL are the exact same thing

CFL

I'll watch the NFL if there is nothing else on.

You would have to pay me to watch the NCAA.

The NFL is usually entertaining but usually never lives up to all the hype.

CFL. Grew up watching it. For me, it comes down to which one I can sit down and watch, and more often than not, it will be the CFL (when the two overlap).

I'm a Stamps fan, so I'll watch every Stamps game, and any game that could have implications for them.

I don't have a team in the NFL, and don't really have a reason to cheer for any team in the NFL, hence I don't get excited for it.

As well, the two games are entirely different. The NFL is a chess match, the CFL a gunslingin' shootout. I just enjoy the CFL game more.

NCAA and that's it. I was a season ticket holder for the Stamps when I lived there but since I don't get CFL - all I watch now is NCAA

CFL by a mile.

NFL is possibly the worst pro team game on the planet.

I agree, the CFL is way better, to me it isn't even close. I can not understand how people can prefer the NFL, it's just so boring to me. I'm not a big football fan per se, and to be honest I've never seen an NCAA game, but I love watching CFL games.

Plus the CFL has Da Riders!

Well the NFL has great television production. The money spent on those broadcasts and the quality of the work is remarkable. I think that adds a lot to the NFL on T.V. Also from a strategy/talent perspective the NFL is so vastly superior to the CFL that it's barely worth aknowleging. I do agree with the comparison of NBA to NCAA where the CFL can produce better games due to the mistakes and frantic pace of play that can traspire. I'd go NFL, than CFL, than NCAA, and it's a significant gap from CFL to NFL for me.

Show me someone who has been to Mile High, and I'll show you someone who would never say the above.

I like the CFL game, but the league is so rinky dink. This owner is an idiot, that team folds ... and only eight teams. However I'll watch Calgary spanking Edmonton before I watch anything else.

I respect your opinion, but NBA? MLB?

Major snoozefests!

You're right NBA is like a circus sideshow nowadays.

I agree with the conclusions that the CFL is bush league but the on field product is just so much better. For all the talent in the NFL they sure can muster up some boring games. The rules and (especially) the size of the field are a major impediment to the excitement of the game.

After watching the CFL for a few months in the spring/summer you really notice the tininess of the NFL field when the NFL season starts.

I wish we'd get some CFL coverage down here. They really are two different games and I enjoy watching both. The big field and 3 down rule really make the Canadian game fun to watch....but I still love my NFL!

Every year I say that this is the year I'm going to follow the NFL, and by mid-season, I just can't be bothered; I can never watch the games I want to, and so much of the culture of the game revolves around fantasy sports. I've followed CFL football all my life so I have a bias toward it, but even comparing NFL and NCAA, the storylines in the latter always tend to be more interesting. I'd probably love the NCAA if it weren't for the incredibly lame post-season.

CFL by a long shot. I don't watch much NFL anymore, but I did in the late 80s/early 90s. Runrunpasspunt, runrunpasspunt just isn't my cup of tea.
