There was some wear on it, most likely from the guys who replaced my clutch in Portland, OR 4 years ago. So I gave it a couple hits with a screwdriver, no go. Figure I'll get the proper wrench before wrecking anything.
Looks like it'll need a puller... best advice to give is to call a place that services that brand of bike and ask. Might even be able to borrow it for some cash.
It might be a reverse thread. I'd try and get a manual or go to a site that specializes in your bike model. Sometimes they even have a site where you can download the manual.
Have you tried a hammer and a pin punch???Its chewed up a bit so looks like thats what was used to put it on.And it may be left hand thread like Vulcan suggested.
At least I know what it's called and what it looks like now. Just need to hit a shop and borrow. Who are the guys who make a big deal out of lending tools? They were advertising it on the radio and everything.
