Quality human. Hopefully this quiets the crowd who gets on his case because he is passionate on the ice.

We can respect the citizen and still dislike some of his antics on the ice.
This is an incredibly generous and welcome donation to a deserving charity. PK is immature sometimes, but his heart is in the right place.
P.K. Subban @PKSubban1 Seeing my name in the atrium gave me goosebumps! It's an honor to be able to partner with #MontrealChildrensHospital.

He's always been a good dude off the ice. Always has time for kids/fans, and does a ton for charity.

PK is the best ambassador for the game the NHL has right now.
You can't not love PK

Feeling a powerful urge to buy a jersey all of a sudden.
Probably won't, but Canadiens are the only non Flames team I respect, as they were worthy adversaries in the past.
Really amazing gesture. Kid was raised right, his parents must mega proud(er).

I have to applaud PK for this. 14% of his current contract and over $1M/yr is no spare change. This needs to be the new benchmark for professional sports players, and I hope other see what PK has done.
What amazes me at most is he decided to do this at the age of 26. I know we all like to say he does some immature things on the ice but only a select few in the world have committed that much at such a young age.
Habs have them a genuine good Human being.
I'll still hate his guts when Flames play him though, but only between the whistles

Not classy PK. Not classy at all...

Koivu just wanted better treatment so he donated to the ward that was serving him.

Yeah I was wrong about this guy. I think I realized it about a year ago. Disliked him for a long time. Thought he was cocky and full of himself.
Clearly he's a good dude. One of the best in the league on the ice and off.
I've probably rarely been so wrong about a player. I've been wrong a lot - but was WAY off the mark with this guy.

So, scoring at home, I come up with:
PK: 10,000,000
Racists: 0
So having defeated racism hands down, let's see if PK can settle Canada's linguistic divide with some of his endorsement cheques.
Or maybe he'll leave that for one of his brothers (I thought Jordan played surprisingly well at Young Stars).
Great guy. Great family. I'm proud they're Canadians.

Always liked PK. Probably the one of the few in the NHL who isn't afraid to show their personality in front of the cameras.

PK will be making 11 million dollars US dollars next season. Close to 17 million dollars Canadian.
He's essentially donating close to 60 percent of his salary.
Would be like me donating 36000.
Very classy guy.

based on his on-ice shenanigans, I wasn't a fan. Until the lockout, when I saw him speak as an analyst or something. Thought he was very articulate and intelligent.
Since then, every time I have seen him speak, I've liked him more. And then this, which is nothing but impressive.

Thanks, meant to figure it out for 70 percent and got distracted. I blame the blue jays.

just watched some clips of his press conference.
pretty amazing gesture by PK. I always liked him off the ice - on the ice he can be a bit of a loose cannon sometimes...
but my respect for him is incalculable as a result of this act of kindess
