If a coaching change can rally the troups and they can take 2 from the Bombers, they're right back in it.

arent they two different positions?

Lemon is on the D line, Simmons is a secondary guy

Isn't Simmons a linebacker? He couldn't get much playing time with the Stamps as it's tough to usurp one of Simpson, Mayo, and Raymond.

Has anybody heard how Brett Jones is doing with the Giants? I would like to have Lemon back, but I'd prefer Jones if he gets cut by the Giants and I doubt the Stamps have enough room under the cap to get both guys.

A note for anyone driving to the Labour Day Classic this weekend from the south: Avoid Crowchild at all costs! The city is demolishing the Flanders Avenue bridge this weekend, and Crow is going to be down to one lane both directions. There are going to be major delays.

That Riders team is a mess. Chamblin is an ego maniac that was never a particularly good coach. Yeah, he got lucky one year when the Riders yet again blew the salary cap to buy a Cup, but all-in-all he's proven he's an idiot and I would be very surprised if he ever coaches in the league again. Taman is a goof with a career losing record.

The cupboards are bare and I don't expect a whole lot to change in the next few months. Could end up being a historically bad season in the flatlands. Hopefully last season and this season are the start of a long slide back to the basement where that team and their fans belong.

And yes, please hire Tillman again. That would be funny.

Bombers never learn. They acquired mediocre Nichols from the Esks for a conditional 7th. With all the NFL cuts right now wouldn't you try to bring up some guys from you neg list and see what they got? Instead they go for another proven mediocre QB.

What? people are criticizing this trade? A conditional 7th is basically magic beans, and Nicholls is head shoulders better backup than Marve and especially Brohm.
