The Brink (HBO Show)
Did anyone watch season 1 on HBO?
I thought it started slow, but by the end was absolutely loving it.

I do have every episode of season one on my PVR but I'm undecided if I'll start watching it or just delete it?

I thought this show would be hot garbage but I'm basically an HBO fanboy so I'll literally give anything they put out at least one episode.
Boy was I glad I did. Way way way better than expected. Tim Robbins was fantastic.
Sure Ballers and Brink aren't nearly as good as Veep and Silicon Valley, but they are still among the top 4 comedies on TV.

Finally gave in and binge watched The Brink.
Agreed, it's not Veep /Silicon Valley kind of good, but I really enjoyed it a lot.

I really enjoyed it as well. A really good mix of actors.

I looked forward to this show more than Ballers. It was a fun watch and anything with
Carla Gugino is a pleasure watch... Take that how you like.

After binge watching the entire season, overall i am glad i watched the series but unfortunately it wasn't for me. It started off promising as i really enjoyed the pilot episode but felt each story line other then the Tim Robbin one, just wasn't funny or interesting at all. The episode when the British couple were introduced is when i started FF any time the two fighter pilots were on the screen which is a shame because i really like Pablo Schreiber and think he can be quite funny. Then when the seven school girls became part of the story, i felt the jokes becoming too cliche so i FF anytime Jack Black was on the screen. The only real reason i kept watching was to see how Tim Robbin's character was going to solve the crisis and who he was going to bang next, other then that the rest was just boring. Now that's just my humble opinion, i wouldn't say the show was terrible as there's been far worse and i can definitely see why some of you did like it, for sure.

I don't think they ever got close to shooting the second season.

Yeah, you're correct. I read someswheres that they had shot but now I can't find it. Probably just a mix up with the renewal as 3 months isn't a lot of time for a series to get written and shot and put together.
