I just finished watching this game for the umpteenth time and I still get goosebumps. I refer anyone who thinks Ronaldo is better then Messi to watch this video and convince me otherwise.
I know there's mounds of great games throughout the years from all leagues and competitions, so what are some of your favorites?
The extra time was one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Chances both ways, and in the end the brilliance of Pirlo sets up Grosso for the winner right at the death.
A shame that the lasting image of that tournament will be Zidane walking off the pitch because this game was a classic. I still get goosebumps everytime I watch highlights from this game.

Hard to pick just one, but off the top of my head, the 2005 Champions League Final stands out. Liverpool vs Milan, with the most epic comeback I can think of. Some nice goals too.
Honorable mention definitely goes to more recent memory, the WC Semi-Final record setting match. I love a good blowout. Germany set many records at that match, including most WC wins, most WC goals, and Klose the all time leader in WC Goals. Muller to surpass him very soon.

I forgot how awesome that liverpool/milan game was. I definitely thought it was over.
Not a classic by any means but I was a huge Celtic fan when Larsson played for them, and they played Porto in the Uefa Cup final years back. Deco was at his best, but so was Larsson, who scored 2 goals to tie the game twice. Porto scored in extra time to win it. I hated Deco but looking back what an amazing player he was.
Now that I watch that, I can't believe how strong a team Porto was... managed by Mourinho to boot. Martin O'neil for Celtic. I always rated him pretty high.

Heartbreaking to see this in person, but the indelible impact it had will continue for a very, very long time. It changed the way people look at women's soccer, especially in Canada. Forever grateful for that, despite the result.

The gap between women's soccer and men's is a lot smaller than the gap between men's and women's hockey, for instance. You can definitely get entertaining, high skill women's games, and this is one of them.
I always get flak for it, but I can't stand women's hockey. It's just bad altogether.
Going back a bit but the best match I've ever seen is the 1986 Quarterfinal between Brazil and France. Zico and Socretes vs Platini and Tigana. The skill on display was incredible.
I was too young to remember it live with dad but did keep a copy of it and watched it more carefully later on.
I still think 1986 was the last great World Cup, since then it's been a bit too tactical as soccer
has evolved.
I could only find french commentary. If you don't know who won, you're in for a treat!
