I wonder if Louis CK was talking about Jarred?
I wonder what will happen to him, I hope he goes to jail and is forced into sampling foot longs but if he doesn't go to jail, I hope people take the law into their own hands over this.

We need a real life punisher.

If not punisher, i'd settle for a Terry Tate linebacker not just in the office.

			So the plea deal:
plead guilty to one child pornography charge and one count of traveling to engage in illicit sexual contact with minors

government agrees to ask for a prison term no more than 13 years. Fogle agrees to ask for a prison term no less than 5 years. Then the usual other stuff such as computer monitoring, no contact with minors, treatment etc.

Child predators are the worst kind of scum on the planet.
I think that we should substitute the term prison for the term deepest darkest well, and throw them all in there, and then chuck a few grenades in after them.

Well I always found the guy a little annoying. Now it seems he was a lot more than that. Regardless of jail term the guy's life is pretty much ruined and justifiably so. Still pisses me off that in a few years he can still sit around and enjoy basic freedoms.
I guess the guy had two kids? Feel bad for them as that is a serious stigma to carry through your life. Hopefully they use his money to start a new life or do whatever is needed to get past this. Same goes for the victims too obviously.

The money and starting a new life is a nice dream, but those kids are going to be damaged for a long time. The man that they called Dad turned out to be a monster, and they're going to end up hating him and having him pass out of their lives.
I don't believe in limited jail terms for Pedo's I believe that they are a constant danger to society, you can no more treat them or change them then you can change anyone's sexual preference. That desire and not caring about the damage that's done will always lurk just beneath the surface like a predator waiting to pounce.

Out of all the crimes, people who get off on kids in my mind should never get a second chance or ever get out of prison, and no I'm not talking about some stupid kid falling in love with a teenager. I'm talking the monsters that like watching young kids getting raped, or the monsters that travel somewhere to meet a kid in a kiddy brothel in asia or some confused kid in a hotel room.

There's a special place in hell if there is a hell for these people.

Could not agree more, and truly believe that there is no cure or reform for this type of deviants.

They are the worst kind of cowards. Dante in his Divine Comedy, wrote that when cowards died, they had nowhere to go, because neither Heaven nor hell wanted them.

I always found him creepy, and his movie appearances made him even more so.

I would think that they would be more along the line of betrayers because they take advantage of and betray people that are trusting them. Which means that they're in the 9th circle which is treachery in I think the third circle named
Ptolomaea, where they are frozen in a lake with only their face showing.

(BTW I loved that book)

And paying $100k each to 14 different minors. So... at least 14 minors he was directly involved with that the FBI has been able to identify.

The ties he has to the guy running his "Jared Foundation" for youth, and how that guy was secretly videotaping the kids, and providing the footage to Jared... ugh. The whole situation is just utterly depraved and disgusting.

Glad to hear he will be thrown in jail and hopefully kept away from his kids for a long time. God knows what Daddy might do to them at some point.

^^ I think it's more of a case where there is a certain satisfaction in knowing that the punishment will likely be ironic; as well as fitting.

Does that apply to women you find difficult to feel sorry for? Would rape be amusing then?

Maybe a more appropriate response would be to find rape inconsequential when it happens to a perverse criminal who admits to being a perverse criminal.

That is a good try, but this is about this POS, that got off on looking at naked pictures of children.

I have no doubt that the production of those pictures generated a long line of damaged children that might never truly recover from the ordeal. This crime is, IMO, one of the worst types of crimes. The people affected by it is wide reaching. There is no shortage of victims arising from this crime.

I have stated my thoughts on rape on this board numerous times, so I don't really feel like I need to validate myself to you.

And in case you ask, if this was a female that had committed this crime, I would struggle to feel sorry for her.

I don't feel sorry for him. I just think we shouldn't foster the idea that its okay that inmates are raped because they are criminals and as a form of karmic payback. It just serves to dehumanize people who may not be the boogeymen we hope they are (for clarity; I think Jared Fogel is a scumbag). Once you dehumanize people it makes it easier to do whatever you want to them. I prefer to live in a world where we hold a standard of treatment for prisoners that is above "what they deserve" as a matter of human civility.
