Inappropriate, shouldn't have done it, hopefully apologizes and that is the end of the whole thing. I don't mind the attention, sounds like a lot of people need to know there are these things called boundaries.

Speaking of:

Because we don't live in a vacuum I understand her position.

There has been way too much of this going on with female reporters, often much worse.

If she ignores it, it sends an example it's ok. Not only to reporters, but to other girls.

Now I wish we lived in a world where a peck on the cheek was just that. I'm sure most of us guys want more attention, not less. It's hard for us to understand. I wish we lived in a society where it was harmless, and we all understood the same thing.

But we don't. The fact is, even if this guy had no ill intent, many guys do. And letting this go, sends an example a lot of other stuff is ok.

I also completely disagree that the CBC has been blowing it out of proportion. I only saw the cycle one day. And it is news worthy. As has been mentioned, there has been a lot of harassment to female reports over the past 2 years or so.

There is no way that a news program on public television would re-air another channel's news program that had FHRITP and FMRITP without any censorship.

Yeah, did you see that blush she was wearing? Her cheek was irresistible.

She was definitely setting herself up to be messed with by standing out in the middle of a festival filming live news. Have you ever been to that kind of festival? It's not exactly a beacon of good decision making.

Society is totally promoting drinking and driving with those huge parking lots beside buildings the serve alcohol. How do they expect good decision making when drunks come out of the bar and their car is right there.

They even have keys! IN THIER POCKET!!

What? Your analogy is terrible.

What she did is basically the equivalent of moving into the middle of a bar fight and being surprised she got hit.

Standing amongst a bunch of drunk/high/wired kids in the middle of a party with a camera and expecting them all to behave is exactly like expecting not be punched while standing in the middle of a bar fight.

Jesus Polak, you are literally saying a female just needs to accept unwanted attention when around drunk males as they really can't be expected to control themselves.

How about alcohol shouldn't be and isn't an acceptable excuse for poor behavior in public just like it isn't an acceptable excuse for drinking and driving.

Why is this still being talked about? The exact, perfect resolution happened. Everyone breathe a sigh of relief. Sanity prevails.

No. I'm literally saying REPORTERS need to accept unwanted attention from drunk kids when they decide to film live news in the middle of a music festival. This time the prank just happened to be a kiss on the cheek (which is a poor choice since it is unwanted touching).

Alcohol, drugs and poor behavior are STAPLES of music festivals. Have been for decades.

The fact that you are trying so hard to force this rape analogy is also ridiculous.

Also Sliver who agreed. Though I can't tell if he's doing his punk job thing. Still, it should be worth a ban hammer. Not funny.

If you've ever seen reporters in the field they never are right in the middle. They are always off the the side so they can get the right shot. Often we see people walk behind the reporter and wave but they are at least 10 feet away.

A person has to go out of their way to get close.

Look at all the people around her in the clip? She's on the mainstage grounds.

Sure she's not in the middle of the front row reporting with a go pro but she has hardly made herself safe from tom foolery.

Yes. I believe a reporter shouldn't be shocked that they get messed with when reporting from a gigantic party. What a crazy belief.
