We were all wondering where our Seabrook would come from...while this trade may have just made that happen, and then some.

Must have been something going on between Hamilton and the Bruins. if he really was only asking for $5.5, how could they not lock that up? Trade basically any other defender, including (especially) Chara.
Just odd from their perspective. If I was a Bruins fan, I'd be pissed.

Now see if you can trade Wideman for a late 1st and maybe a 2nd or early 3rd.
Profit.

I had no idea Hamilton was 6'5, 212lbs. I'm loving this.

I'd heard a bit higher but it depends on the term involved. Either way, Hamilton turned 22 last week. He's worth it. twitter.com/GlobeKPD/statu…
re:
Kevin Paul Dupont @GlobeKPD
One source has Hamilton's ask at $5.5 million per.

The major piece we are still missing is a big young brusing winger...a younger Lucic. The future is very bright though.

It totally changes the landscape of our blueline. All those questions about having a blueline that matures along with our forwards has been answered.

LOL
Down Goes Brown @DownGoesBrown
This is the most one-sided trade the Calgary Flames have ever made involving a player named "Dougie".

Even 6mil per would be great. Cap is rising and the guy is 22. Sign it!

It's Carlo, Provorov and Hanifin all wrapped into one shiny piece. I'l be honest, I am absolutely flabbergasted this happened.
Now I turn to the theory that they have a plan for a low 1st dripping somewhere.

Just spoke w D Hamilton. Said he's been following the #Flames, excited for the C of Red & Giordano already called him. Meant a lot to him.

Hope so, always feel a little empty watching the draft and not having your team make a pick even after picking up a player like Hamilton.
