Like someone said here previously, very curious to see if the Senators have their eye on someone at 15th overall and would package 18th and 21st to the Flames? Would we have to add?
I would love to stay at 15th but there are so many players I wish we had a second first rounder to spend on.

18th + 21st is a severe overpayment to move 3 spots.
At most Ottawa adds a 2nd rounder to 18 to move up to 15.

If that's the case I'd rather stand pat at 15.

That's not really a decision to be made until the 14th pick has been completed, and you have a look at who's left to pick and compare it to your list.

Really depends on how they view it and how it plays out.
If Konenczy, Merkley, Boeser and say White are all there at 15 - and the Flames have them in the same grouping - then you drop down knowing you get one of those guys and add another piece.
If however, at 15, a guy in a higher grouping drops - you keep the pick and grab the guy you didn't think you'd have a shot of.

I would move down if there wasn't a faller at 15.
21 and 42 would be a fair trade to drop down 6 spots.

I have trouble seeing the Flames taking Ericksson-Ek over Merkley, Konecky or Boeser.

Wouldn't call Eriksson Ek a late bloomer per se but his talent has only just recently started to show. I have zero issues with them taking Eriksson Ek if that is the way they go. There's something unseen yet in that kid.

Watched the Button recap, what did he have such low point totals though?
4 goals and 2 assists in 34 games for someone who could be a top 2 centre seems odd.
Oliver Kylington on the same team had 2 goals + 3 assists in 18 games as a defenceman.
