Al MacInnis was picked 15th. Good enough for me, keep it.

More recently, Erik Karlsson. Enough said. Oliver Kylington anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

He was asked for his impression on each of those players. He wasn't asked about Boeser.

The first rounders are always exciting.......but I'm more excited to see the gems dug out of the later rounds.
Brodie, Gaudreau, Ferland, most likely Hickey are all guys I love to see unearthed, cut, shined up, and paraded around while other teams' fans drool with envy.

 Boeser it is!

Some of those comparisons are confusing. For example, he calls Nick Merkley a "goal scoring winger" when he had something like 20 goals and 70 assists.

Boeser reminds me more of David Jones than Patrick Sharp.

There are so many good players in the 2nd round, I'm curious to see who we end up with.

Players like Senyshyn, Meloche, Spencer, Bracco, Larsson, Fischer, Dermott, Pilon, Andersson, Vande Sompel.

Nikita Korostelev too. Hard shooting RH RW. And Mitchell Stephens. Canadas version of Colin White this year IMO and ranked mid 2nd round to mid 3rd round.

There are about 30 players rated in the 2nd/3rd round that I'm hoping the Flames take. I am hoping they will be able to get 3-4 of them.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m1 minute agoIt certainly sounds like Arizona is leaning towards trading the No. 3 overall pick. Multiple teams interested, incl CBJ, WPG and perhaps BOS

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m1 minute ago
Most of the teams interested in getting the No. 3 pick want it to draft a D, either Noah Hanifin or Ivan Provorov.

Sounds like the Leafs will be taking Hanifin if he falls to them.
His parents met with the Leafs and he is going through medical testing with the Leafs staff today per Strickland

Could be why so many teams want to get to #3.

If the Bruins (14th) and Jets (17th) are trying to get the 3rd overall, you'd think anyone else in that range like Calgary (15th) would have an opportunity as well.

Toronto is going to have to make a tough choice @ #4, if Strome goes 3. Which way player would you take in this scenario.

I wonder if it's possible Hanifin goes 3 to say Boston and Provorov goes 4 to TO?

I would love it if there is a way we can somehow pick him.

i'd have no problem going into the playoffs with:

Jiri Hudler
Marian Hossa
Zdeno Chara
Anze Kopitar
Andrei Markov
Saku Koivu
Teemu Selanne
Daniel Alfreddson
Datsyuk
Zetterburg
etc

Character is character regardless of what the person's passport is.
