2 quick goals by Nigeria to tie it up with Sweden in the start of the 2nd half.

^ Yeah, #5 ranked Sweden in big trouble against the #33 ranked African champions Nigeria... they just tied it up and are kissing the turf all over the place. Group of death living up to its name, all 4 teams will be very competitive.

I can't believe that Nigeria missed that opportunity at the 68th minute.

Nigeria has had more chances. If they can get their goaltending together and get some decent crosses off instead of playing it right into the defender's feet, they will make it to the knockout stage.
Of the 4 games today this is not the one I would have picked to be a draw.

Sounds like the Nigeria supporters section is the place to be! Can we get this type of atmosphere for the Canada games?

It's a darn shame more people aren't getting on board with the WWC. It's great fun and truly an international event, which are rare.
But it's also nice to see a lot of support in the stands compared to some other countries who may have hosted.
I may rag on women's hockey, but that's because you literally only have 2 teams that are competitive. In women's soccer, naturally you have your powerhouse teams, but anything can happen on any given matchday. Canada almost drew 0-0 with China a few days ago which would have been a great upset (not for us!), whereas in the Olympics the Canadian women's hockey team was never even in trouble of surrendering a lead during the whole tournament. For like the past 6 Olympics.

It's only Day 3, people will get on board.
Looks like I missed a classic!

I can't be the only bothered by this, no doubt Twitter will blow up when casual fans see it. The US kit is neon green... what the hell were they thinking?

Is it just their warm-up kit?

I'm seeing that on Facebook now as well, yeah. Looks like they'll be wearing the white jerseys you can see there but this might actually be their dark jersey for the tournament. Not sure.
Roof is open at BC Place and it's causing havoc for BBC's main camera. 50,000+ capacity has it looking a bit sparse as well.

Kit for the US is indeed the horrendous socks with white shirts and shorts. Australia has not beaten them in 24 tries.
