Not blameless at all. Way too often in these games votes come off right near the hammer. I'd like to force the issue. Oling already pulled one off after leading the charge. I find that suspicious. If people are willing to lynch here is the chance. If hosts are worried about losing one of their own, they'll have to unvote. I want to see what happens.

But whoever pulls votes or add votes now will be more suspicious than you who set the stage so it's a good hiding spot.

If I wanted to hide I'd have stayed on Peanut. This way I'm able to have influence and have some control. It also puts some spotlight on me, so it's the opposite of hiding.

What do you think I am? You didn't say.
You're just voting to see who does what? I'm dead at 7 anyways, so really doesn't matter at 8. Nobody will pull the hammer with Timbo at 3.
Or are you scared Timbo will catch up?

My guess is you are a host. I am voting you because of that and also I want to see what happens. I'd be happy to push the Peanut vote if I thought I could get some support. Because I don't think I can I'm happy to see this through. I find it interesting this is the first time you've showed some urgency when it looked like your time was close to ending.

No urgency at all, I'm just curious cause the vote came out of nowhere with no explanation other than "i want to see what the next person does".

Oh man. So now we are back to one vote to hammer Girly, and the only people who haven't voted currently are me and the cryptic SebC? I need to re-read the conversation since Oling changed his vote yesterday. Did he ever come back and elaborate more on that?

Girly, how would you explain. Your changes in behaviour today
You went from befuddled when oling accused you
Indifferent for most of the day up to and including your death post.
Then SebC prompts you for a bigger list, oling unvotes and you become very engaged again.

How so? I have been here most of the time, I've answered all questions, given my opinion, offered myself to the town to direct me. When the vote got to 7 and 8 I did feel a bit beat down so I let it go while I was at work Friday. Otherwise I'd just be repeating the same things over and over.
Too many people are quiet. When I gave my list to SebC and Oling removed his vote it was a bit of an opening. Perhaps I could challenge a few more people on a quiet Saturday or else people will just leave the vote at 7-3 and I'll be lynched at the deadline. Squiggs vote is very curious so I asked him a few questions.

I found my more engaging/entertaining/stupid posts/verbal diarrhea happened on the weekends when I was drinking.
I may be willing to switch my vote, but not for Girly.

Ever since Oling did his spore reveal, I've been torn between voting Oling or Girly, depending on who I believe and what logic I use. And then Oling switching his vote away from Girly after vehemently defending the strategy of revealing who had the spore and lynching the recipient (including introducing the strategy on Day 1) is really not sitting right with me.
I'm trying to logic it out in my brain as follows:
- I'm basically looking at all of you as either 50% chance town or 50% chance host. I know the actual percentages are not 50/50 because there's only 3 mafia in the game, but, for the purposes of looking at each player individually, it's basically a binary choice that they are either host or town because the spore has not had a chance to impact the game much yet. Except Girly and Oling, I look at them differently...
- if I'm to believe Oling, then both he and Girly have received the spore. So there's a 33% chance Oling is turned, 33% chance he's host, or 33% chance he's town. And Girly is also 33% chance she's turned, 33% chance she's host, and 33% chance she's town. So 66% chance they are "bad" for us, and only 33% chance they are on our side. But if I believe what Girly says about the spore, then she either hasn't received it at all or she received it and she didn't turn. If I believe what Oling said, he received it and he didn't turn. So potentially back to 50% host, 50% town for each of them *if* I believe them about the spore. But if I believe them about the spore then maybe I should trust that they are town?! And then I should vote for neither of them. Problem is I don't really believe either of them, it's more who do I believe the *least* at this point.
- I really saw a difference in Girly's posting style between Game Day 1 and Game Day 2 when Oling revealed that he sent her the spore. This makes me suspicious.
- I'm suspicious of Oling but nobody else seems to be. So I feel like I'm missing something in the logic of the spore or game strategy. This is frustrating. Not really relevant to my analysis but I am feeling a bit frustrated that I don't "get" whatever you all are seeing.
Essentially the vote should be between Oling and Girly because out of all of us, they seem to have the most likely chance of being "bad" (scum or turned) out of anyone else. I'm having trouble deciding which of them to trust more (or, as Puxlut pointed out, what if they are meta-gaming and we can actually trust neither?!?! *head explodes*).
Ugh. Total thought jumble. I'm think I'm leaning Girly. The Oling play is confusing me (announce strategy, reveal as spore receipient/sender per announced strategy, implement strategy to lynch receipient, change strategy last minute) but it seems like the rest of the group is leaning hard towards Girly. There is no chance of an Oling lynch regardless of my suspicions.
Vote: GirlySports

Vote Count
With 16 alive, it takes 9 votes on any one player to hammer. It takes 6 votes to deadline lynch.
Hasn't Voted (1): SebC
Voted:
GirlySports (9): East Coast Flame, dissentowner, Timbo, bizaro86, Hockeyguy15, devo22, Lego Man, squiggs96, Peanut
Timbo (3): GGG, mrkajz44, Oling_Roachinen
Hockeyguy15 (2): Puxlut, Party Elephant
East Coast Flame (1): GirlySports
The seeds of distrust had been sown. They weren't sure who they would uncover if they targeted someone in the group. The passengers feared death and would do what they needed to, though. GirlySports seemed exasperated, and wasn't ready to back down. The passengers pushed on.
GirlySports, Passenger, Lynched Day 2
Not too long after, a group of passengers came back from a routine search down the deck. They had discovered that the Host had halted their advance through the ship. What was their plan? They had not provoked them. Could it be some kind of outside interference?
It is now Night 2. You may not post in the thread during this time. If you have night actions, they must be PM'd to me by Sunday, May 31st at 10:00 PM Mountain Time. Please title the PM "Night 2 Action".

The Commander stood up slowly from his desk, reading the datapad with the results of the long range sensor sweep. The Bacterians - that was the name the beings apparently called themselves - had made considerable progress into the sector. With their ability to take control of man and machine, it would be difficult, if not impossible to slow their advance. Entire planets had been transformed into monstrous living beings to house the advancing force.
Commander British knew what this meant for his strike team. He wouldn't get the time to test out their new ship, and his pilot would be going in blind. The system may be safe now, but the small invasion of a transport ship was only the beginning. They would need to strike at the heart of the invading force now, before it was too late.
One thing the reports didn't have an answer to was the question that bothered him most. How did they appear so suddenly? There were no reports of any unusual activity in the sector for so long, then within a month they were appearing in random areas all over the place. This was not simply an alien invasion making it's way across the expanse of space. This had to be planned well in advance.
The first mission for the prototype would be to intercept the transport ship before it left Gradian territory. What they found there would determine the military's course of action. Everyone was hoping the gamble would pay off. In the meantime, British approached his comm console and attempted to contact the transport ship. None of his broadcasts had been answered yet.
It is now Day 3. With 15 alive, it takes 8 votes on any one player to hammer. It takes 5 votes to deadline lynch.

The deadline is Friday, June 5th at 10:00 PM Mountain Time. Hammer cannot be dropped before Monday, June 1st at 10:00 PM Mountain Time.

Well that was absolutely useless.
So did she send the spore to Timbo because he was runner up for votes? Or did she even have the spore in the first place?

If you believe Oling gave her the spore (I still do) then she wouldn't have been able to pass it because she was lynched. The spore will go back to the captain after today, so no one would have been passed it last night.
Now we have to find a host with the leads we have.
