Nice!
When we chose our seats this year, we could have been... I want to say 5 or so rows lower in sec 215. But 214 was more along the sides of arena versus the corner (and not behind the netting), so we opted for the perceived superior section and a few rows higher.
I kind of think we got lucky with our seats this year all the same. We joined in November, and at that seasons end we were called to obtain tickets, which we were advised was an estimated 2,3 years away. We had desired whites, but assumed we'd be getting greens or oranges first, eventually moving over to whites. To begin in whites was a nice surprise for us, makes us feel we're a bit ahead of the game.

As for moving seats today it is just for club seats. You can only move within the Chrysler club. That's why my "2nd relocation" is June 2nd
|
Ah - got it... see, I told you I confused myself
Didn't know the Chrysler Club got a date to move within before the seniority stuff starts.

Greens and Oranges are, for the most part, more desired than a lot of whites. The price for you view is a lot more advantageous. I know that I can sell my greens for face value or more any time I want. They are the second row of greens on the aisle.
Now, don't get me wrong, I will be willing to move to whites but it would have to be in the first 10 rows between the blue lines. Ideally I would take the first 2-3 rows of Orange. Otherwise I will stick to my greens as is.
I guess it really depends on if you go to all the games or sell off a bunch. Good luck selling Row 20+ in the whites to a Tuesday night Arizona/Buffalo for even STH price.

2006-07 Sec 218 Row 18 Greens
2007-08 Sec 218 Row 18
2008-09 Sec 212 Row 24 Whites
2009-10 Sec 303 Row 2 Blacks
2010-11 Sec 204 Row 18 Greens
2011-12 Sec 204 Row 18
2012-13 Sec 204 Row 18
2013-14 Sec 208 Row 19 Greens
2014-15 Sec 207 Row 10 Whites
I also had another pair in Sec 306 Row 3 Blacks that I had for 3 seasons that I sold most of the time to fellow CPers.
I really enjoy my current seats in Sec 207 Row 10. The only complaint is that they are in the middle of the section. I'm more of an aisle seat type guy.

Others, please correct me if I'm wrong, however, I believe if you accept PL's for season tickets, you're mandated to remain there for 3 years before being eligible to relocate. This may also pertain to even within PL?

Yes, remain in PL but the chance to move around within.
I received this from the Flames
Dear Ben,
Planning for the annual Calgary Flames Press Level Seat Relocation Event is underway. We are currently confirming dates for the event and anticipate that it will be held in June.
Season ticket holders must register their account to be included in the assignment of dates and times to relocate. This will improve the efficiency of distributing times and will result in a better customer experience.
HOW THE PRESS LEVEL SEAT RELOCATION EVENT WORKS
You must register to receive additional information and a specified time to participate.
Time slots are assigned based on seniority of account (the longer you have been a season ticket holder, the earlier your assigned time will be).
If you would like to relocate your seats, we simply exchange them in your account and release your previous seats into the relocation inventory.
Accounts must be in good standing to participate in the event.
SEAT RELOCATION EVENT REGISTRATION
Only accounts who register will be assigned a date and time. It's easy to register! Simply click on the button below.

Got seats in 2004 and our date is June 1st at 4pm. Currently have 4 seats together and have moved them once about 4 years ago to their current location in 222, but there is not a very good selection for sets of 4 typically.

As a guess then, maybe it would be after the regular relocation? This would allow anyone with more seniority and to whom is not locked into the PL's for 3 seasons the opportunity to review seats in PL ahead of yourself. Then once it's circulated within that group, they will distribute to the PL's exclusive?
Someone noted earlier that Chrysler seats are being done today for relocation, which is 'ahead' of the regular STH timelines, so perhaps by the same token, the PL's are being done after?
That's just a guess. I apologize, I'm not much help.

No notable upgrades on my Gold seats today, but I was able to move to Silver but in the Flames end (took them for concert reasons). Nothing in gold or silver got me closer to centre than I currently am so it looks like a lot of club seats didn't move yet. However if anyone out there is looking to snag 2 Gold seats, section 214 Row 1 seat 5,6 were great seats.

From what I remember if you're in the PL relocation you can only select rows 4+ you aren't allowed rows 1-3 until after your 3 years are up.
Someone can correct me if I got it wrong

Does anyone know if we are actually able to walk around and try out the seats this year? Or will there just be a map?
Last year I was working out of town and was only able to call in. I did find good seat though.

I contacted my STH rep:
"Yes – come to the ground level NE entrance of the Saddledome (the Chrysler Club entrance) during your relocation period and one of our ushers can show you seating options."

June 2, 3pm. I think this is my 6th year? Started in 306 (before they were called PL) row 5, moved to PL3 Row 2 in the 2011/2012 season, and am now in PL14, Row 2. My seats are Centre Ice so it'll take some pretty good seats to get me to move, but I still go every year. Not looking to move out of PL.

Just got back, we managed to find a pair to relocate to in 216 (were 224).
Moved back a row but have a nicer angle in the corner, saved about $1000 in total too!
