that's good to know. Schlemko was seemed like a russel-lite out there. I'd love to have him as a 6/7 guy. Defensive depth was a definite gap in the flames roster down the stretch.

The 2 things stand out for me:
1. These guys all do believe that they are in fact building a team that will contend for many years.
2. These guys all seem like they want to be a part of this - their answers are quite definitive when being asked if they will/want to come back. There is no "we will see" type responses.

I think some folks are putting too much stock in what is being said today. What are Schlemko/Diaz supposed to say... "Hell no, I don't want to come back, are you kidding, this place is a dump!
The number 1 priority of these guys today is to get through the day without making headlines.

Don't know if it's intentional, but it's interesting to see nobody wearing any sort of Flames gear.
I guess after an entire season of wearing the Flames logo in front of the media(including a full month with those gawd-awful Playoff hats), it's time to take a break...

I do agree but in prior years there have always been a few guys who give the

I dont know what will happen
I havent started talks with management
Based on what I am reading, it sounds as if guys would be legitimately upset if they were not back which is a great tool in the pocket come free agency if other players see the enjoyment in Calgary.
